I wrote it again. Introducing, Season of The Wilds.

. Season of The Wilds New location set in the wilds of Old Europe. Consists of forests, fields, rivers and mountains with ruins. Seasonal Armor <Hunter> Cloak is a boars hide, with a boars head for the cowl, complete with tusks. Arms are bristly and wrapped with leather, with tusks on the elbows. Legs are bristly and leather wrapped with hooves on the toes and tusks on the knee caps. Chest piece is a leather vest with a beaten metal plate on across the breast. Helmet is a sleek faceplate with animal motif engravings. <Titan> Mark is a bears hide with bear teeth down on the edges. Chest piece is a fur vest with a heavy bark breast plate. Arms have heavy bark gauntlets wrapped with leather and bear paws with claws on the shoulders. Legs are fur covered with bark shin guards and bear claws on the toes. Helmet is a bear skull. <Warlock> Bond are two deer antlers attached to a metal arm band. Robes are rawhide dear leather with a high collar and a thick leather belt. Legs are leather and rawhide with hooves on the toes. Helmet is an deer skull with a broken antler. Exotics. Seasonal exotic weapon. Artemis’ Sting. Exotic bow. Hold square to switch firing modes. First firing mode fires heavy damage precision arrows that take longer to fire. Second firing mode is a rapid fire mode, that allows you to fire an arrow a second. Bow has antlers on the bow limbs and red leather strips on the handle. <Hunter> The Deer’s Leap Exotic legs. Grants an extra two jumps and increases speed. Boots are stitched leather with rawhide dear skin chaps, antlers on the kneecaps, and high with boots deer hooves on the toes. <Titan> The Stampeders. Exotic legs. Sprinting creates shockwaves. Consumes super energy when activated. Boots are stitched leather with cow hide chaps and cow hooves on the toes, with steer horns hanging from the belt. <Warlock> The Wolf’s Howl. Exotic helmet. Replaces your class ability with a Wolf howl that stuns and damages nearby opponents and gives a small health bump to you and nearby allies. Helmet is a wolf skull with glowing white eyes.

  • I'd like a season of the city. Focus on factions and foundries, reintroduce srl, missions that maybe focus on the various vendors in the tower. Hell give the cryptarch a awesome back story and exotic like they did banshee, an actually awesome grenade launcher built from the millions of dismantled edge transits and some hive bones to reference the loot cave.

  • I’d just like a season with no new seasonal activity and narrative mcguffin. A season that takes a break from pushing the narrative forward and introducing more currencies into an already bloated economy . Instead focusing on overhauling the core playlist activities; strikes/crucible/ gambit. New strike modifiers, specific loot for each strike. Redirecting the dev time which would be spent on a new vendor and activity and creating 4 or 4 new strikes with strike leaderboards, armor sets and weapons that can only be obtained through playlist completions on top of the strike specific gear. Same for crucible and gambit with 4 or 5 brand new maps each, playlist specific loot to chase, bringing back incentives for playing comp. Bringing back factions as a permanent and passive entity. Like in D1 where they were a continuous source of unique loot and you were passively levelling them up and earning rewards from them just by playing the game. Introduce a full new suite of armor and weapons to the world loot pool to compensate for the full extent of sunsetting to date. The ratio of new to sunset was nowhere near acceptable with beyond light and the ratio will only continue to get worse with each new seasonal round of sunsetting. I mean, I could go on, but you get my drift. I know Bungie would cop a lot of flack for “not creating anything new”, but in the long run it would be worth it. It would give them a fundamentally strong infrastructure of a base game on which to continue to build upon. Because as it stands right now, the quality of seasonal content doesn’t really matter because the foundation is built on is crumbling beneath it.

    • Nah... Season of the Deep: Reintroduces a highly changed version of Freehold (D1 Mars) where large portions of the sand have been stripped away by the darkness in their own form of terraforming. The darkness is looking for something in the bowels of the Buried City and the Taken have spearheaded this incursion. Speak with the new Rasputin Frame, Ana Bray, and The Crow as the Black Garden rumbles awake once again, but is met with a slumbering giant cut off from the Tyrant King of Machines. Features a new Seasonal Activity: Charlemagne’s Vault. - Delve into the pits of Charlemagne’s Trophy Room as you clear Vex, Cabal, and Taken on various levels. (Like menagerie). - As a reward, you have the chance to obtain 1/8 new weapons and 8 returning weapons using a targeted loot farm (like old menagerie). Season Armor: Perihelion Armor Set [spoiler]Warlock: - Rugged Sunscorched armor. Helmet has a Hunter-like feel to it. Horizontal visor, not as bulky. Gauntlets are small, but have plate armor protecting the thumb, index, and middle finger. Chest is a rugged duster. Not as long as other robes, but long enough to still seem definitely Warlock. Boosts are chunky combat boost with plates on outside of shin. Bond is a small glowing orange band surrounded by the black metal. Hunter: - More of a gothic feel to the helmet. More scupted and refined, but made of the harder metal plates. Cloak is more of a scarf, that falls diagonally over the right shoulder. Marked with Clovis Bray insignias. The chest is more classic with two rows of angular extensions that mimic the helmet. Gauntlets have two sets of two rings that encircle a short ways from the armor at the shoulder and forearm. Gauntlets look like the warlock. Boots mimic the chest, and the boosts are on the smaller side. Titan: - a more classic style helmet (sunbreak) with a small antenna over the left ear. Chest is lower profile and looks more like a Hunter chest, but full coverage. Gauntlets have very small shoulders and more of the spikes going down the outside. The boots are chunky and rugged. The bond is small and wrapped around the outside with small CB insignias and a glowing line of orange on the bottom. All glowing areas will change with shaders. [/spoiler] Season Exotic: Handsome Devil - Kinetic SMG - Intrinsic: Lone Wolf - Increased sprint and slide distance. Unassisted Kills Reload a portion of the magazine and Reduce the cooldown of your abilities. - Trait: Devil in the Details - Deal increased Damage when health is full. When lone wolf is active and no allies are in close proximity, gain increased movement, handling, and reload speed. - Masterwork: Slideshot Stats: - 600 RPM, High Stability and Mag size. Acts like a mini AR. Decent range for the archetype. Low handling and reload speed. Other Exotics: Aphelion Trace - Solar SNR (Quest) - Intrinsic: Microcosm - This weapon fires an extended burst of pure solar energy with each trigger pull. Rapid precision hits burn the target. - Trait: Binary Star - This weapon can fire two bursts in succession before rechambering. - Trait 2: Firmly Planted. - Masterwork: Nadir’s Heart - Burning Enemies boosts handling and grants Grenade energy. Burn stacks up to 6x. - Burst is 15 Rounds at 1000RPM - Burn occurs after 5 precision hits, deals .2x burst damage over 6 ticks, 1/second. Burn damage multiplied by number of stacks of Nadir’s Heart. Stats: - New 45 RPM energy. Bolt action. 6 round Mag. Extreme range and precision damage. Very poor handling. Deathrattle - Stasis FR - Intrinsic: Winter’s Teeth - This weapon’s bolts crystallize as they fly, allowing them to deal precision damage. - Trait: Ice Age - Landing 4 bolts in a burst as crits allows this weapon’s bolts to freeze enemies and create ice walls upon impact. Shattering frozen enemies extends this effect’s duration. (6 seconds, adds 3 seconds to the time to up to 8 seconds.) - Masterwork: Headseeker. +10 Handling. +10 Reload Speed. Stats: - precision frame. Good all around stats. Lower range, higher stability. 5 in the Mag. Joyeuse - Void MG - Intrinsic: Tyrant’s Shadow - This weapon fires slow-moving explosives that detonate on impact. (No crit) - Trait: Field Prep - Masterwork: New Longinus - Increased damage to Majors and Ultras and Rounds stagger enemies. Reduced weapon spread while ADS. Stats: - 900 RPM, Higher impact than normal. Low velocity, but good stability, handling, and reload. Exotic Armor: Hungering Claws - Warlock Gauntlets. - Ravenous Point - Vortexes last significantly longer and pull enemies in that take damage while devour is active. Devour lasts slightly longer. (12s) Ember’s Vigil - Warlock Boots - Sacred Ground - While on a solar subclass, your rifts continuously damage enemies that stand in them. Includes Well of Radiance. The Nautilus - Titan Chest - Methane Pump - transforms your solar melee into a close-range incendiary burst. Close range kills grant melee energy. The Cold Front - Titan Helm - Winter Storm - Melee hits with an arc subclass generate additional armor. Charged Arc Melees slow enemies. Barrier activation slows all enemies based on the number of armor stacks. Use consumes all stacks. (Up to 10x. Barrier adds 1x slow per stack.) Kitsune’s Bute - Hunter Helm - Foxfire - Tethered targets take damage over time. Voidwall grenade kills generate orbs of light. Tesseract Line - Hunter Boots - Tesla Perimeter - Press RT and LT during Arc Staff to plant your staff and stop your super. Your staff will continuously chain Lightning to nearby enemies. Duration depends on the amount of energy left when activated.

        DUDE you have no idea how badly i want an area that’s just like wide open forests or fields... kinda like areas in red dead... that you could just ride your sparrow across into the sunset or something lol! i also would love to see like a little village with like little houses and a market and whatnot... just a little place of non-guardian folk that looks cozy and has maybe, in the center of town, a little campfire you can sit around edit: also, i LOVE that bow idea! mmm yes perfection

          I'm waiting for Season of the Maintenance. Oh wait, that's every season. How about Season of the Blue Junk Avalanche? No, that's every season too. How about Season of the Outdated Interface? Nope. Maybe Season of the Mindless Progression? Nope. Hell, Bungie gives us these season features for free all the time. We should be more grateful.
