Before the match loads, use the director to look at the roster and if you see a 6 stack just back out before the game. Don’t get into it, start losing, and then quit.

Don’t get into it, start losing, and then quit.
Hate the game. Not the player. The fact that we're even having this conversation is prime evidence of the fact that Iron Banner is broken. Broken and giving a pretty unenjoyable experience. Fact is that Iron Banner really needs to be taken out of the game and reworked. It literally serves no in-game purpose....and the experience of playing it is pretty miserable right now. Especially for solo player.s

4 RepliesNo. I'd rather bungie do something about matchmaking. No reason. A solo player with barely a 1.0 efficieny should ever face a stack of trails emblems. Ever. That's terrible game design, matchmaking and execution by a developer. Its definitely not a way to make quickplay or IB fun. Anyway my 2 cents before the bungie apologists and statisticians show up.

1 ReplyEven True Vangaurd still backs out of matches. Faze Jev backs out. Its perfectly fine in a 6v6 setting. Iron banner and 6v6 is casual pvp. IB isn't meant to be competitive. It's just a event which hands put unique loot, though as of lately I have yet to get a Forward Path outside of the quest.

1 Replythat is how matches get started with a 6 v a 1 or 2 . i have been on the bottum of that. we need a better solution.

1 ReplyI started iron banner this morning. I believe I went on a 5 or 6 game winning streak. Do you know how many of those games we fell behind really quick? About 4 of them. You gotta find a way to win or learn from the loss to win next time.

2 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 8/7/2020 9:07:44 PMHow are teams going to turn a bad situation around if players are encouraged to run away at the first sign of a stack? Pulling off a win against seemingly bad odds is not only possible, it's unarguably the best kind of victory there is.
-
3 RepliesEverybody should do this, idk why players dont. I dont do this but only because I can at least destroy the entire 6 stack kd’s on my way to losing, thats a victory in my book.
-
6 RepliesI haven't played IB yet this week, but I dont care if I quit. If im not having fun, I leave. Its not my responsibilty to care about anyone elses experience.
-
7 RepliesWe should have quit ban ages ago. 😔

3 RepliesThe problem is the matchmaking- make sure that it's fair and people will be less likely to feel they're wasting their time.

4 RepliesEdited by Bieltan: 8/7/2020 7:28:01 AMOr how about dont quit in the first place. Quitting leaves the team down a person making it likelier they'll get steamrolled, and then another unlucky soul joins in progress and likely gets rolled too. 6 stacks arent necessarily a guaranteed pasting. Not sure a guaranteed spoiled experience for 6 other people is fair tbh.

2 RepliesHow about Bungie fix the matchmaking so people don’t want to quit ? You’re blaming the actions of those adversely affected by a flawed system. I prefer to blame the system and those responsible for it.

Edited by Kid Backstab: 8/7/2020 2:31:15 PMDon't quit at all. Play the match, and if it's obvious the lobby is horribly unbalanced, change your play style. If you are the stomping team, swap to a weapon that you need for progress on a quest, and only use that. Or, just use the weirdest weapon you can. Or, just play a zone...capture it and stand and guard. If you are the stomped team, get stomped faster. Blind rush and die, get the mercy faster, and get the 3 tokens, and move on to the next match where you might be able to progress your bounties. I'm not good at PvP, and now that I play like this, there is no stress. TBH, though, I've only seen a couple of really lopsided matches, and one of those I was dropped in for less than 30 seconds of play, and got my 3 tokens. Even matches where the other team had an 85% chance of victory have ended up at 125-100, with me getting at least a few kills.

6 RepliesNever understood this mentality(quitting). I always see things through. Before destiny I would play Madden and was mad every time I’m winning people would quit.
-
If you’re going to quit as soon as you finished your bounty... I don’t blame you
-
5 Repliesnah, I'll just afk to collect easy tokens. If the other team insists on winning a game absent of meaningful victories, then so be it.
-
1 ReplyWe really should have a ban system. or a system where if you leave too often your put into lobbies with other people who rage quit. let them all ruin the experience for each other.
