It’s Year 3, Repeat Pinnacle Drops are UNACCEPTABLE
Bungie, it’s bad enough that we don’t have many pinnacle sources but repeatedly giving us the same pinnacle armor piece is just UNACCEPTABLE! This is year 3 and year 6 of Destiny as a whole. How the hell is this still not addressed yet?!?!?! You are deliberately holding us back from fairly leveling to get ready for grandmaster nightfalls. How is RNG even a thing when it comes to this?!

I've been doing all pinnacles every week for quite some time now and every week is the same thing, you get mostly repeats and are limited to only increasing one level per week IF you're lucky enough. This is so dumb and its on purpose to keep you playing smh we don't need that to keep playing and people are so sick of it

Honestly, I don't even do Pinnacle activities unless I'm invited. I'm just so bored doing the same activities we've been doing since Shadowkeep. There's just no point, especially since Bungie is just going to raise the Power Cap from Powerful sources next Season. It's just a waste of time to grind out Pinnacle activities just to make it easier to increase your Power in a few months.

What was the point of adding all this garbage into the loot pool if ya cant add seasonal mods?????? Just like purchasing weapons off the collections tab, Give Banshee44 some components, half dan with mod slots, buy it outta collections, just a quarter dan with one less roll and no mod slot Aaaaaarrrrghhh

At this rate, I think Bungie should make all Prime Engrams give a +1 all the way to 1010 power. That seems like it’s the only fair way to resolve this. Being stuck at 1009 for weeks-months at no fault of our own is unacceptable and makes no sense.

Didn’t 1 of the minions announce in a TWaB awhile back that there would be addt’l pinnacle activities introduced to help with the levelling process? So far we get 1 addt’l pinnacle from the levelling to rank 7 of a bunker and also get a pinnacle drops from the wins in trials. Regardless, it matters not when the duplicate protection supposedly in place isn’t working.

In a couple weeks they're making all the strike, gambit, and crucible weekly bounty challenges pinnacle rather than powerful. I'm sure by the end of the season just about everyone will be 100% capable of reaching 1010.

It's a pathetic strategy to lengthen playtime in conjunction with endgame activities where players are underleveled with modifiers stacked against them, leading to likely failures and many repeat attempts which shouldn't be necessary. D1 had difficult activities that were fun and doable, not frustrating struggles in order to force players to play more. The pinnacle grind needs to go.

1 ReplyTheir answer to the duplicates was to make all pinnacles +2 so they you only need 4 pieces to push you into the next power. You look about 1009, which isn’t bad for this week of the season. You still have two weeks until GM nightfall. Have you been doing any +0 leveling or intentionally changing the order of activities to pseudo target a piece? I hit max light right at the beginning of week 3 using some of these techniques and being smart with 3 characters. I got duplicates, sure, which is the only reason my warlock needs a helmet to be 1010 lol

I think some sort of RNG has always been present in levelling but I’d like to see drop protection. Just that you can’t get the pinnacle in your highest slot would be fine with me or even in the same slot consecutively - either would still incorporate an element of RNG to be optimal but would make things feel less cheap.
