How Many Are Going to Wait Before Buying Anymore DLC?
Basically, title. I feel like I jumped the gun in an overly loyal way when I bought the digital deluxe edition of Shadowkeep, but these seasonal contents so far (aside from very minor aspects) have just been let down after let down. Bungie has proven to be way too incompetent on their own.
I've decided I'm going to hold off on buying the next DLC for year 4 until I see more about it. I don't think I'll be preordering anything more from Bungie until I see some change for the better.
Who else feels the same?

1 ReplyI'm torn. Though I would like to never drop another nickel into this game, I lead a clan, so I feel obligated to see it through to the end. This may be the last tie I ever lead a clan or guild.

1 ReplyNo matter the game or the developer, pre-ordering is bad practise from you the customer. Wait until launch, read post-launch reviews and make a purchase decision based on that. This would save so many folks so much disappointment. Personally there's no game company that I'd preorder from. Ever. For example I know I'm 99.5% certain to play cyberpunk and enjoy it, but cd-red won't get my money before the game is out officially and I know what I'm buying.

1 ReplyI'm tired of not fighting the darkness or savathun. Their focus is to fix the story yet nothing is actually Impacting the game or driving it forward! Enough with the fighting of cabal and vex! Most boring non existent story! The hive has the most potential! It's like game of thrones! Across multiple seasons winter is coming! Lost interest and never care to finish the series!

If Bungie doesn’t change the following things, I will not be buying the next DLC. - Huge repetitive grinds for rewards that get nerfed/retired. - Terrible matchmaking in PVP - Every activity is a reskinned version of the other activities. -Everything revolving around the same bounties day after day. Some of the vendors even have the same bounties EVERY DAY. The game is not really even fun any more.

5 RepliesWeapon retirement will make me think twice about future DLC/Seasons. I am not a fan of it in the slightest. This season's stuff is largely crap too. I like the look of the Seraph Handcannon, it's crap in PvP. At least the rolls I got. I dig the AR though. The season pass armor is atrocious. As is the sparrow and the ship. Tommy's Matchbook is pretty okay though, ornament is pretty neat too. The activities are kinda boring. I lowkey think clearing the bunkers every day is the most interesting thing about this season. Lol.

I think as hungry and starved for content as we are and the relative "cheapness" of it means it will continue to be an easy brainless lazy purchase. We are all too familiar with game and enjoy the gunplay power fantasy that we will all likely buy it. That being said players that leave may not come back and the word of mouth isnt doing the player base any favors. So I think long term bungie is losing a community. Its devolved over time. Lfgs used to be a lot more inclusive and supportive. I stop sherpaing a year or so ago completely. Since riven. The development of lazy grindy even pointless and uninspired content with a focus on a very small segment of the base isnt helping wither. GM nightfall? Really? The endgame 1%era have been asking for leader boards for years not another pointlessly difficult tier of the same game mode. This is a looter shooter. And bungie has not focused on this at all. And more and more the grind itself is less.and less play your way. Bungie had been absol6tone deaf to the players. If it wasnt for the ease of play and nostalgia for games lore and super space magic fun and community we used to have the game would be done..but it's easy to play and you dont get these mechanics anywhere else..so here we are.

Definitely waiting. That's on the season passes Dlc.. If they fix the major plague of problems this game is riddled with, then after a few weeks, maybe a month or so. When they get some amazing reviews, I may just be tempted to buy another dlc.. if it's during a good sale & has a years pass included. If it misses any single one of those points. Not happening. I'm already regretting buying the current dlcs and season passes. And I'm cutting down my gaming time spent on this game. Because I do not support bungie's current attitudes towards its own player base. (Tbh though, I also think that the player base is far too ready to hurl insults at the devs.)

To far commented n invested into the game to not buy next main or so call main content playing since D1 beta on both consoles bought taken king collection on both rise of iron on both bought D2 collection on both consoles bought both expansions osiris warmind on both forsaken deluxe on both. shadowkeep collection just on ps4 bought PC week later long with all content for on there. All this with nearing 4k hrs not including all the silver bought between D1 n D2 I'm to far in to stop I'll play till Bungie fully kills the game the Destiny series is over. From what I understand there was suppose to up to 10 yrs be lucky if D3 even happens now

Im not buying anymore dlc period until weapon retirement is recanted. Why tf would i spend more money on a new dlc when your invalidating the money and time spent with last dlc. Im simply waiting for my forsaken gear to be retired then im done.

4 RepliesIt’s not like you’re losing out on anything important. Just the content that they feel the need to remove after a season. What a way to make people not miss out on the moments that ‘you had to be there for’. I highly recommend not getting DLC’s at all. I tried the free mission for Shadowkeep and wasn’t sold with it at all. The story doesn’t add up at all. How did no one notice a giant triangle ship parked under the moon at all? Surely the people in the golden age used seismic technology to monitor the moon and so would’ve seen the ship. If the ship came later then surely there would be a giant hole in the moon where it parked itself, and so should be visible from the surface. And then later on Zavala tells us to go investigate the moon after Eris disappeared. This is the same guy who told us to stay on Earth during the red war to protect the city, and because it was too dangerous. Great character building. The shadows coming from the ship weren’t even problematic. What a great yearly DLC. Compared to forsaken, it’s nothing but foreskin.

For this season I bought the silver early cause I was afraid when it came down to it I wouldn't buy the pass. Next season I'm totally not buying in. Tired of the armor 2.0 system. Tired of season mod slots for reason that make zero sense. Tired of heavy weapons (jotunn lord of wolves) being in energy slot. Tired of energy weapons (darci) being in heavy slot. Tired of getting 1 to 4 hit in an fps in pve. Like seriously it is an fps you are supposed to be able to take some damage. My god you can take more damage in gta5 Uncharted 4 hell Division game which are 3rd person cover based. This whole thing is damn sham.

Then the hype beast is awoken when it’s time to sell some DLC and people forget all about these quiet times of reflection. I’m not mad at them, I get it. At the same time all the hype videos for the last cycle of drops were Eververse commercials at their heart. It’s a crazy world.

The content that we get for a season is probably worth $10 to me. But I can’t keep supporting this disappointment of a company. I’ll play the free stuff and keep wondering how good this game could have been.
