Ok, so the idea I had was that there should be a weekly featured raid. Where you can earn pinnacle gear by doing old raids. This would incentivize people to do old raids.
The upside with this is that if you needed to do a certain raid(or learn it for the first time), you can just wait for the right week so most of the community is doing it, making it easier to find a group
This idea also can prevent people from getting burnout from doing only the newest raid. Not only that, but it gives people reason to do raids, especially for seasons where there is no new raids (like this season)
So if you guys think Bungie should consider this idea, leave a comment and hopefully it will get noticed

1 ReplySuggested that a bit over a month ago. I still think its a good idea. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/254874356/0/0/1

Great idea.

I'm guessing from all/most of the comments you now understand this was in D1, it's great to see new players coming up with ideas, and i for one would like to see this, if not only for the nostalgia side of it. I think it would bring the "FUN" element back to destiny rather than the chore and seriousness it feels like today.

Only if they get ornaments like age of triumph

It's good to know that even newer players mention something that was added back in D1 only to be removed when D2 released. I could go on a rant but I won't...

1 ReplyEdited by MattHarb: 2/10/2020 8:23:00 AMSo I guess my idea happened back in D1. Tbh I missed out and didn’t play D1, and that sucks. However my point still stands, that I think this feature should be in D2 too. Hope y’all agree

This was already a thing done in D1. Personally as someone who loved running raids in D1 I hate almost every raid in D2. There's 0 desire or worth to doing any of them. Ontop of that they aren't any fun. Are they pretty to look at? Yeah, but fun is a big nope. This feature would be completely lackluster and wasted on D2 till desirable loot came along.
-
2 RepliesYo, remember when this was a thing in D1?
-
D1 had a weekly featured raid and it was a good concept. The only thing I would say though is they need to GET RID OF CURATED LOADOUTS and MODS in the 2 leviathan lairs (Spire of Stars and Eater of Worlds). At the very minimum, Arsenal should not be a modifier... it is the lamest thing I've seen roll into a raid in.... well EVER. I will absolutely, positively not run any raid where that 💩 modifier is active! My clan has been going back and doing all the old raids recently and it's a ton of fun. Too bad we end up doing Normal mode on SOS and EOW most of the time because of the shitty loadouts and abysmal modifiers.

Call it the "Ordeal Raid" higher tiered loot. I'm game af

3 RepliesThe raid loot isn’t desirable enough to bother. Destiny 1 had good loot to get. Destiny 2 not so much..
-
2 RepliesBut that would mean updating the old armor and weapons , sounds like work ... D.A.L.A.P....... (do as little as possible)
-
I mean they did that in D1. They even had raid challenges for each encounter. Not sure why they ditched that whole concept.
-
1 ReplyBungie have read and thought upon your suggestion. From next reset you will be able to attempt the new ‘weekly’ raid by purchasing tokens from eververse. For those who wish to, tokens may also be bought for 1 billion bright dust each. We have special ornaments and armour available for completion of the weekly raid....... purchasable in eververse.

You would've loved d1!

8 Replies"The idea 'you' had..." LOL!! Unless you're new to the game, this idea has been around since D1. Way to try and take credit for something that has already been proposed- and already done! Sorry, it didn't work back then, and won't work today, even with modifiers or challenges. Leveling up with pinnacle gear is pointless, amor stats are useless, and the old raid weapons (even if they swapped to random rolls) would not be worth the headache of running a raid to hopefully RNG a weekly drop when you can simply, and efficiently, grind for way better weapons in Forges, Menagerie runs, and Obelisks.
-
You mean like they did in D1?

Edited by x Anubis x: 2/10/2020 4:06:23 PMLol we have a lot of posts just like it, many people wants weekly raid rotations but Bungie prefers to nerf swords instead solving bugs and QoA But as I agreed with all posts like it, take my up!

1 ReplyReward would need to be something useful and pinnacle gear isn't at the moment.
-
Good idea
-
You obviously didn’t play D1.
-
23 RepliesNo one likes raid players
-
1 ReplyOnly if the drops for each encounter are relevant. The last thing anyone wants to do is run an old raid for one pinnacle. Most of that gear isn't even newer versions. Some changes would have to be made.

1 ReplyThe idea you had? Greta?

1 ReplyI must be having deja vu right now because I feel like I've seen "Weekly Featured Raid" somewhere else before...
