Bungie was tired of hearing the constant whining and crying of Hunters claiming that they're weak and underrepresented, even though they make up nearly half the playerbase. Yet it always amazes me how they are perfectly content with other people complaining about how hunters shouldn't have so many overwhelming advantages in the crucible.

Every time I mention their dodge or jump abilities as evidence of their value, every Hunter pops up to say “You’re really calling us OP because we can jump and roll? How pathetic! People will look for anything to call OP!” No Hunter ever wants to admit how untouchable their mobility is
