Stormedancer’s brace needs a rework
Why would I opt for this chest when Crown of Tempests does a better job at add clearing, ability regain, AND overall dps? Why not make it “arc ability kills increase the damage of all arc abilities” instead? That way it becomes a Warlock exotic that [i]doesn’t[/i] get dismantled immediately.
Context: Stormdancer’s Brace is the new exotic armor for Warlocks, it grants increased damage to stormtrance with each kill you get while using stormtrance (stacks up to x5)

If the exotic had done the same thing, but for Nova Warp, it would be great. We already had a good Stormtrance exotic.

Personally I really like it over the crown, I would rather have a more powerful super for a shorter time then a very weak super that I’m stuck in for 15+ seconds. I can definitely see why people wouldn’t like it though

The exotic is also not that great, the damage doesn’t really go up all that much. I would’ve made the exotic grant arc web and kills with arc grants grenade energy and increases ability damage. That right there would create a ton of fun builds, imagine a chaos reach with the power of arc web? Man that would be awesome especially since the damage would go up as well. The saddest part of this is that since players acknowledge that crown is still the best exotic for stormcallers, bungie is going to nerf that instead of buffing this terrible chest exotic.

6 RepliesThe damage stack from it is laughable. I killed over 5 stacks of enemies before moving onto the Nightmare Champion and tickled the hell outta him before he smacked me like the little bish I was for using it. This Exotic sucks.

1 ReplyI'd just use crown of tempest and switch to stormdamcer brace when I want to use the super. The super is clearly better with stormdancer brace. Crown of tempest just makes a weak super last longer

Agreed id make it grant extra grenade and melee energy for using class abilities as well as making it only stack to x3 but do the same damage and grant landfall I'd also like to see an ornament for this exotic sooner than later it looks too dressy and flowy for me I want more trench coat open at the legs or tattered robes look.

1 ReplyThe way I see it Stormdancers is better in a small concentrated area with small enemies + big targets. It’s much better in these instances then the Crown as all the ads are dead and you do ALOT more damage to the tankier enemies then the Crown would. You also exit your super faster so you can continue to DPS while the Crown is still stuck tickling them.

Why couldn’t bottom tree nova get an exotic that lets vortex nova bomb actually do damage or be useful... crown already is king for arc besides geo
