One night I was down and out and decided to play a little bit of Destiny to help clear my head. I logged in and checked to see if my clan mates were online and to my surprise our newest clan member was in a party with several others. I hopped in, not really knowing what to expect and truthfully not really caring about what I would find, and I swear to you that moment changed my life. Not only was her voice that of an angel, but she also laughed at all of my jokes. All of my stupid jokes. So we got to talking and I found out she mained a "block headed Titan." She also found out that I mained a "know it all Warlock." As time went on we would talk more and more. We would fireteam up and just play the game. Just the two of us. We had both come out of less than stellar relationships and we finally agreed on trying our luck by dating. "What the hell. How much worse can it get?" I remember telling her when we decided to be in a long distance relationship together. She lived in Texas and I in Tennessee. We were 1,005 miles apart. I remember thinking about the LDR 5001 sniper thinking it was funny how it lined up. LDR (long distance relationship) 5001 (1,005 miles apart backwards) It was just too perfect. I flew down there to see her first and she was every bit as wonderful in person as she was in a party chat 1,005 miles away. We flew back and forth a bit for next year and a half. I went to EMT school during that time and she was nothing but supportive even though our time was limited due to my night classes and clinicals on the weekends. One day we were talking on the phone and I told her, "Look, this flying back and forth thing is getting expensive. Why don't I get a one way ticket, fly down there, and we drive your car to Tennessee and you just live with me from now on?" This was meant with unrivaled enthusiasm and a resounding "yes." The plans changed and she and her mother ended up driving up to Tennessee on the day after Christmas in 2017 and it has been bliss ever since. She treats me like a king and I do the best to treat her like the queen she is. She quite literally saved me and it is all thanks to Bungie and Destiny. I can't imagine what my life would be like had I not hopped into that party that night, had it not been for the clan system in Destiny, or the entire franchise all together. We support each other in everything we do and usually the only time we fuss with each other is when she pops her super and I kill her intended targets by accident (true story Lol). I am going to Paramedic school starting tomorrow and wanted to get this on here. I meant to do this a while ago, but never quite did for whatever reason. I don't know if anyone will read this, but at least it is out there now. Thanks for reading. This was not meant to encourage people to meet up anyone they meet online. My soon to be ex wife and I met through a clan on a different game. Eventually we met in person and our relationship deepened. We then got married and she went off to the military because she wanted to. Seems my love and attention werent enough as she became more arrogant and self centered because she was in the chair force. She began seeing someone else. I gathered all the information I could, all evidence....and rekt both of their careers. She forgot I was Military Police before I met her. Article 134-2. Now...Im happier with someone who values my love and attention.

Nice you met your love because you both love gaming and destiny that’s awesome. I met my love 20 something years ago because we both loved tacos and weed we still love each other just like we did back then we still love tacos but gave up the weed a long time ago.
