Lol, "bait".
-
Except it's not but ok

Jesus was indeed (as far as we know) a real person who spread his beliefs like is told. However, not so real is him being the "son of God", because that's just not biologically possible.
-
And we are supposed to believe that the works of an all powerful deity is going to submit to what is biologically possible and what isn't?
-
And we are supposed to believe that the works of an all powerful deity is going to submit to what is biologically possible and what isn't?
And this is one of the main problems I have with religion. I'm not really into denying the sciences and principles that we have come to establish and build upon.

I'm going to reply to you in the same way I did to him: And this is one of the main problems I have with religion. I'm not really into denying the sciences and principles that we have come to establish and build upon.

The part of him being the son of god? Yes, fiction, Jesus existing and spreading a new form of Judaism? Absolutely
-
Do you think Buddha is fake?
-
Do I think he was a real person? Yes of course. Do I think he had a life changing revelation after sitting under that tree for so many years? Again, yes. Do I believe the literal exact teachings of him? No, but I appreciate his message of peace and understanding, and will die for anyone who follows him.
-
Do you believe Buddha to be a god?
-
He isn't. No buddhists believe that either.
-
What I am getting at, is that you, as a god fearing person, believes the Buddhist deities are "false god's". Believing otherwise would go against the word of God.
What I am getting at, is that you, as a god fearing person, believes the Buddhist deities are "false god's". Believing otherwise would go against the word of God.
Buddhists have no gods, the spiritual part of it got co-opted from Hinduism with the whole reincarnation stuff. And you can follow the 8 fold path without thinking your doing it to stop yourself from getting reborn.

Edited by Lia: 5/2/2019 1:25:16 AMI think you misunderstand what I said. Buddhists have no Gods or deities. Only an afterlife and reincarnation.
