So yea, there has been some leaks that hinted at the start of production for D3.
As much as I love this franchise, it cant suffer another lackluster launch like d1 and d2 did. You are hands free of Activision now, your not pressured as much to keep up to schedule anymore. It WILL be the death of Destiny if it flops its launch again
Take as much time as you need to make and polish the game you always wanted Destiny to be. Bring the story to life, and provide us with a ton of end game to keep us busy for a long while.
This goes for any dlc your making for d3 aswell. Dont rush it and give us a ripoff, Like COO and Dark Below.
Learn from past mistakes, and keep improving the game by listening to feedback and staying active with your community
We dont mind waiting for perfection. If we want to play Destiny while d3 keeps getting delayed, we have d1 and d2 to keep us busy.
Thats my message from a loyal fan. Good luck bungie, we look foward to how d3 will turn out now that Activision is out of the picture.

They finished pre production back in November according to leaks and if they are going to release in September 2020 that’s about 3 years of development time which can only mean good things for D3
-
2 RepliesI wont be doing a pre-buy for D3 like I did w D1 or D2. They wont get me for a 3rd time
-
1 ReplyHonestly, if they allowed for all locations (that aren't canonically destroyed), armor sets, weapon sets, NPCs (who aren't cannonically dead), and allowed for patrols at those locations, I would be ecstatic. Yes, they should include new content, yes, they should prioritize new content. But they also can utilize previous loot they have made, implement a system that will allow these sets to be modified as sandbox updates occur, just to beef up loot pools and also not have the same armor issues as D2 year 1 armors have now, where they are obsolete. This would take time, on top of all the new and fabulous additions that we look forward to for D3. Please. PLEASE. Let this be the outstanding addition to Destiny we have been craving. Take all the time you need to do it. We don't mind waiting for the best of the best.

Yeah - Bungie, if you think it should take two years to develop maybe take four years instead. Or maybe not say anything, take six years, and surprise us all with something amazing.
In other words, don’t bother unless you’re going to commit to creating something you’d be proud to show your mothers.
4 RepliesAlso please Bungie confirm really quickly and squash the rumours that pvp will no longer be in the game. Despite its frustrations it is in a destiny players blood to rage at the crucible. Please take your time with d3
-
And please give us new weapons, we don’t need more weapons from D1 or D2 time to evoke a new era of armor set and weapons.
-
I can wait. Please make it stellar, take your time!
-
Yes please take extra time and sweet Moses don’t remove PvP. It’s the only reason D1 and D2 has survived content droughts.
-
yeh to be honest i can wait 3-5 years for destiny 3 if it turns out to be the game we all want it to be and know it can be. other games will come along while we are waiting, i would prefer that than another destiny 2 launch.
-
7 RepliesThis next game will make or break Destiny. I don’t care waiting a long time...so long as it delivers and gives an amazing story and a truly satisfying and gripping gameplay. I need a story that is incredible. The lore in this game is absolutely wicked. Let’s SEE IT.
-
One thing that would be cool is if all the content from d1 and d2 were somehow remade in d3 like prison of elders, old patrol maps, strikes, gambit, and raids.

Edited by ricstar: 4/1/2019 9:58:08 AMWait for the next gen consoles, use an engine from another company 'frostbite, havok' whatever but not the crappy one you use now. Put back in everything from previous games. Employ a new story writer. Make the game for adults not kids, this will not affect sales, just look at GTA5 sales. Make it epic and huge Separate any pvp pve you have

16 RepliesEither way Im buying D3... I have been playing this game for a very long time and Im not leaving it until its over🤷🏼♂️
-
I completely agree with you about Bungie taking their time with D3 and any following Dlcs as long as they don't change or remove everything that made D1 good like they did with D2 at launch and I hope they improve on things like better/bigger Lost sectors,Loot pools,Add Strike specific loot to heroic strikes,More bounties with more variety,Be more creative with armour(different styles/types) not just use the same base design and reskin over and over.I could go on and on but that's enough I think.Oh and yes pay attention to feedback.
-
1 Replythey need to start with a new/better engine and dedicated servers.
-
If they announce the removal of pvp I will gladly pre order again. Otherwise I’m waiting for reviews this time, didn’t pre order D2 but bought day of release bc all friends were on it and that’s what really counts. Fast forward to today, there’s one friend still playing, out of the 20 people or more we had. Very sad, I believe a destiny without pvp could shine!
-
i really wish i was as optimistic. i put in alot of hour year 1 but year two has just not grabbed me. if anything it has pushed me further away.

5 RepliesActivision bought in with $500MM and when that wasn’t enough gave Bungie access to studios. So far Bungie has missed milestones, produced a linear game that had to be rejiggered to feel open world and used those studios to pare down DLCs to”seasons”. Activision wasn’t the problem. Bungie was. I fully expect a turd and will not purchase until weeks after the release and the reviews are fully baked.
-
1 ReplyHeard a rumor that may not have traditional pvp. Only dark zone type stuff. That would be a major bummer, probably wouldn't buy.
-
If they delay it by a year that can give bungie a chance of adding D1 into D2, that’ll probably keep us busy, and maybe a huge free update.
-
1 ReplyAs long as the same people in charge of game design is still in place, Destiny 3 will be the same as Destiny 2.
-
14 RepliesSort Destiny 2 and expand on that. I’m really not up for another new start again so soon. Why bother collecting stuff if we never get to use it...due to infusion we never get to use our favourite gear and then finally you just start a new game.
-
That means re do it 3 months before launch (again)
-
11 RepliesI think the issue is the studio is really slow when it comes to making changes. When you move too slow people just quit and go to a different game. Look at the success of EPIC GAMES, they constantly look at feedback from everybody and make changes on the fly.
-
Let me guess D3, can’t bring weapons forward again. But if you buy season pass you can earn thorn, ice breaker, Gally again? Sorry pay also and unlock your super again. 😴
-
1 ReplyYeah take as long as you want, 80 years, 90, no problem. I won't be buying anymore crap from your studio anyway
