So I bought ANTHEM. Played a few missions and even stormed a fortress. It was ok kind of fun, but Destiny 2 blows it away. D2 is a much better game. Kinda of sorry I spent a total of $65.00 for it. Destiny game play is far better! So all of you out there that said ANTHEM was going to be Superior to Destiny I think that you also believe toilet water taste better !

14 RepliesANTHEM will get there in time, just as D1 did. But unlike BUNGIE, BIOWARE won't build up ANTHEM only to tear it down to the ground.
-
I agree. Anthem need a shit load of work.
-
I’ll buy anthem when they’re selling the vanilla for 2.99 at GameStop, which is what density 2 vanilla is now

10 RepliesEdited by Blankman007: 2/25/2019 4:10:05 AMWait. So you're claiming a game that has been out for almost 2 years with 3 DLCs and and an anual pass content drop is more polished than a game in its first week of release? No. Way. I call BS..... Next thing you'll be telling us that water is wet....

Edited by CIKiller: 2/25/2019 5:33:49 AMThere was someone that made a post titled "Anthem makes Destiny look like an Indie game" after the E3 2017 showcase. Well, D2 makes Anthem look like an Indie game.

It’s hard to compare looter shooter with one another because I could say every game made after borderlands is a clone.

Why is this in Offtopic? Dang merge.

2 RepliesGive it time to get some patches and content. Destiny was very much the same way when it started and after so many years of patches and dlc of course it got better. Anthem's gameplay is where it's at and I'm sure after receiving some patches and dlc it will be great too. Judging it now by comparing it to a game that has several years head start is just unfair. I for one am optimistic for Anthem's future.

1 ReplyBoooooo. Don’t listen to him!!!

2 RepliesAnother crybaby post😢. "This new game might overshadow my fave game "

1 ReplyBiggest disappointment for me is how shallow the campaign feels coming from a studio like BioWare I had high hopes for the campaign the people you meet up with in the game are not memorable at all.

3 RepliesEdited by puppyk1sses: 2/25/2019 6:13:36 PMJust google “anthem game” It is officially on life support. It’s a) not selling, b) not reviewing well AT ALL, c) negatively impacting EA’s stock. Yes, the same EA that historically gives studios a VERY short leash with underperforming games. The same EA that pulled the plug on ME:A without hesitation (which FYI reviewed better and sold better than Anthem) There’s already swirling speculation from analysts and news writers that EA may hit the kill switch on Anthem.

I played Anthem during the VIP beta a few weeks back and wasn't really impressed to the point where i'm like "-blam!- YEA this game will kill Destiny". I enjoyed my time in that beta, but wasn't feeling it all that much. Now I have been playing it since launch the other day. I must say, I am enjoying myself quite a bit. It's a fun game. Is it perfect? No, not at all, but it's fun. Is it the famed Destiny killer that a lot of people have been reporting? Lol, no! But again, it's fun (for me). Anthem to me kind of feels like Dragon Age meets a shooter. (I've never played the Mass Effect games, so i'm not sure how it compares to them) Something I have learned since playing Anthem? In my opinion, you cannot compare Anthem and Destiny side by side. Two different games, completely. I like Destiny 2 and I like Anthem (so far), so what that means for me, is that I now have an alternative to when I get bored with D2 and vice versa. You think that Destiny 2 is a better game and that the gameplay is far better? That's great, but that's your opinion. Now, I share your opinion about 50/50. I think it's too soon to say whether or not D2 is a better game than Anthem, give it time. As for gameplay? I would have to agree that the gameplay of D2 feels better. Again, though, Anthem is new and I am still getting used to it. But ad of right now, yes, the gameplay of D2 feels better in a lot of ways. My biggest complaint right now with Anthem is our players mobility while roaming n Fort Tarsis. This may sound dumb, but it really, really bothers me. I don't like how slow we walk/run in the Fort. It almost feels difficult to maneuver around. I also don't like how we have to be in first person while walking around thee either. Again, this may sound dumb, but this is a huge turn-off for me. Another gripe of mine is the voice acting from some of the characters in the game. I feel like the voice acting of some of the characters sounds half-assed. Shooting in third person doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, honestly. The gunplay could be better, but it's decent. The abilities are awesome though. I wish the guns in the game were more unique and personable. I find myself to be using the same 2-3 guns on the two Javelins I have right now. I salvage almost all other guns, i.e snipers, pistols, scouts. I'm sure that I will have more to like and dislike later on as the game progresses. It's a good game and it's fun. It's not fantastic (yet) but I enjoy it so far.

Remember when #Gaming was filled with pro Anthem posts that usually started with something something Bungie betrayed our trust. I encountered a few who couldn't handle minor criticism or make logical arguments. I was telling a guy that if the Skorpions in the Tyrant Mine spawned out of all the holes instead of one, the fight would be more interesting. They said it would be impossible because it was a PvE game and it was my fault for spawn trapping the enemies. Never saying what inherent to a PvE game made it impossible, they proceeded to go on a rant about drastic changes causes bugs in the code.
Yep
It’s like comparing apples to oranges. They are completely different games. Destiny is all about the gunplay, anthem is all about abilities. Destiny has multiple small worlds, Anthem has one big one. You can’t compare them, because they’re completely different.

10 RepliesI don't understand why everyone is fighting over which turd is better. Cat turd, dog turd, either way...it's a turd.

1 ReplyI stopped playing destiny. It's been deleted from my ps4 since last year. I may or may not get anthem. But I'll always have resident evil 2 remake, red dead redemption 2 and a few other games.

3 RepliesThe sales figures are starting to roll in as well. In the UK Anthem sales are 50% Of ME:A, and only 10% of Destiny. Reviews on Metacritic average out to 60 currently with User Reviews far below Again 60 for professional reviews. Epic Fail.

I agree

3 RepliesEdited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 2/25/2019 2:38:05 PMFor me it comes down to this. I am aware that some of this is personal preference. I generally prefer first person for shooters, but with the flying aspect of Anthem I think third person is better. What I think Anthem does better: - FAR less rigid experience, players can play what they want to earn gear - no impractical PvP blend - bigger open worlds - better NPC interactions in the hub area - no activities with convoluted mechanics - more ability perk customization, including mission consumables - crafting of gear and consumables - player controlled difficulty for everything - matchmaking for everything - better color customization What Destiny does better: - better overall universe and story(so far) - more unique gear with story/lore attached to it - more weapon type variety - more unique ability options - multiple “supers” - more to do in open worlds Overall, I like both for various reasons. The thing with Destiny having more unique gear and perks is somewhat lost on there always being a meta and there being things that people almost never use. My issue is that having been with Destiny for years now, I still see what I can only call wasted potential and I still find the experience to be way too rigid. I don’t like my experience being so heavily dictated for me. It’s too early to talk about the longevity of Anthem. We will have to see how they support it over the next year.

6 RepliesWell destiny 2 as of now cost $140 including the base game and all DLC.
-
destiny 2 forsaken blows it away not base destiny 2 lol
-
Canceled preorder after demo. Gameplay is purest shit (for me) compared do Destiny`s brilliant gunplay and world design.

Nice bait.
