• Reason being they removed levelling from raids ! Since then the reason to play dropped and the player base did as well

  • Exactly. Why do you care if there's a raid or not when you're not even raiding to begin with?

  • True, stats show not many people complete the raids. I used to do them all the time in D1. One could blame the toxic raid player base as I had more negative than positive experiences and haven't touched the raid in D2.

  • I do. I buy them games for the raids and social stuff. Reminds me of zombie easter eggs.

  • And even those that do probably don’t do it that much overall. After the first few times, what’s the point?

Because they are the most fun content in the game? Everything else is extremely easy and is just 'aim somewhat in the area and hold left click'. At least raids are challenging for the first week or so. The day 1 experience is some of the best in gaming. Reasons to replay raids are mostly for the gear, cosmetics and doing the challenges and triumphs as well. The only activities that really come close for me is Niobe Labs (very fun but no replay value) and Shattered Throne (doing solo/flawless is fun).

  • That's what a lot of people say; I just haven't found that groove with the D2 raids. I liked raiding in D1 quite a bit - even if I didn't do it much, it was fun. In D2, it just didn't have the same spark for me.

  • They are pretty much the same thing though. I personally liked many of d1's raids too, but mainly because of their lore and exploration factor. VoG and Kings fall were amazing in that respect, where as the gameplay mostly hasnt changed throughout all the raids and has reamined fun and consistent from d1 to d2. I can understand if you didn't enjoy Eater/Spire that much, I thought they were fine but no where near as good as other raids since they were so linear and had no new story or location. What I personally want, is another Kings Fall style raid but with 3 different difficulties. a 3 player casual one, a normal one and a prestige one....but all in the same raid. Imagine if when you enter the raid, the path splits, one area leads to a smaller, shorter and easier encounters designed for 3 people (but can still be completed with up to 6) and then the main section leads into the normal raid, like any other and then prestige mode has a secret activation condition (instead of an entirely new instance) so you can choose which encounters to make prestige once you discover how, which will of course drop the bonus prestige loot and give you more rewards and stuff.
