I have 2 characters around the 550 mark and I was perfectly happy playing up until last Tuesday or Wednesday. After that I can't bring myself to put destiny 2 in my disc tray whatsoever😂🤔. I looked at the details for festival of the lost also to try bring back the spark to me but it just doesn't want to return. I think I'm actually quitting destiny without even having to try and bring myself off of it.
Edit: Wow. First time trending😁. Thanks for all the mature feedback. I was expecting comments like "delete your characters and game and stop looking for attention" or the "git gud" trolls but no. There is some really interesting feedback. Thanks for that👍

I got that exact same feeling

BTW, that "quitting without having to" feeling is something I had happen with Year 1. I didn't decide "I'm never playing this again." I just didn't play one day, and then kept not playing for the next 10 months. It was a pretty passive decision, all things considered.

There is always a time to step back from doing something so that you could realize what's best in life.

same... to be fair though, I have more than gotten my monies worth out of this franchise.

Edited by domenico: 10/12/2018 5:33:18 PMDon’t do something you aren’t enjoying. Stop playing, pick up something else until you feel the urge to come back. ~that’s just common sense

Yes. Last few days (since last reset, I guess). On reset day, I knocked out all the (basic) milestones with my Titan. The days following that, though, were a much smaller investment of time. I think Wednesday I signed on, did the nightfall, and signed off. Last night, I played a few Gambit matches, a couple crucible rounds, declined a raid run, and signed off. I've had fun so far with this expansion, but I don't feel any particular urgency to play the last few days.

The game is pretty slow right now and I don’t really have the time to level up.
-
yep i,m pretty much done and so is everyone else i know, a bunch of us came back for forsaken, some of them with less time got burnt out with the grind. i got my chars to 600 , got my thousand voices and now i,m like cant be bothered to play. its a shame cos if i thought i'd maybe get to try some of the new exotics i might be motivated to stick around but they just dont drop. so i'd be grinding the same old stuff with no reason to.. so ye RDR2 here i come.

4 RepliesNah, you're not alone bud. The abysmal quality of the first year killed my enthusiasm for the series. I haven't purchased Forsaken and I don't plan on it. The game went from constantly handing out participation trophies to an extremely silly and unrewarding grind. By Age of Triumph, D1 found that happy medium in my opinion. The only problems were the ammo regen gimmick in PvP and using exotic secondaries as primaries. Depending on how much money needs to be made that year, only the extreme casuals or the extreme grinders will be catered to. The average gamer will never be properly respected in Destiny.

If you`ve played this game for, idk, more than a few months than your know it`s one of those weekend games where you leave it aside for the whole week and just play the shit out of it on the weekend for grinds and shit. If ya ain`t doin that then, that`s why it suddenly doesn`t feel thaaat special anymore tbh

Lfg requirements, paid recoveries, slow light chase, forced to play what you don't want to possibly get what you want, company that doesn't respect you enough to answer your question/ respect your time, all of these things going on? yeah....I'd say I lost interest...weeks ago.

1 ReplyTake a break from the game. It is not 'if' but 'when' I will hit the wall with Destiny 2- again. When I do, I will play another game for a while, and come back to D2 when or if I feel like it. Then again, I'm not a collection whore. I'm ok not getting every weapon, armor, or achievement in the game.

Your not alone. a few things.... I've said it time and time again, Bungie really dropped the ball with the masterwork core infusion system,, I'm a 386 Hunter, my loadout are Arc with Raiden Flux Void with Orpheus Rig My main weapon loadout consist of EP Shotgun Whisper Sleeper 2 reasons why I stick to this loadout, 1 because it's powerfull. 2 because the new infusion system doesn't allow me to try new weapons outside of these 3, as I'm not prepared to burn through sought after MWC to "experiment" with new weapons by bringing them upto the required power level after the RNG drops them 30 below power, rendering them pretty much useless. Do using my same old loadout has got boring. 2. I get some people enjoy PVP, I personally hate it, so having to endure nearly 2 hours of PVP is soul destroying, I pray I go into a match with 10 seconds left, or we take a hammering and the game gets called early, which is unfair on those who enjoy it. Bungle have created a system that draws out the grind to fill the longitivity of the game, unfortunatley they've gone a little to far I'm my opinion.

It is just boring, and I am tired of Bungie's BS. This is the last Bungie game that I will play due to their shitty business tactics. I put in over 130 days in D1 and I loved it. I still love going back and playing it, but there is something different about D2. I don't feel powerful. I feel like the weapons and movement are tingy and I don't feel strong firing my weapon. IDK what they changed but it sucks. PVP - What the -blam!- happened to Bungie here? Halo was amazing for PvP with all the different type of playing modes. Are they seriously that lazy to not include Capture the flag, Snipers only, Primary only, large Scale OPEN Maps like Valhalla where you will not be shotgunned around EVERY -blam!-ING CORNER!!! I understand this was a problem in D1 too, but the fact that they didn't fix it makes me furious.
-
I'd have to say yes. The game feels like more of a second job at some points. I don't mind a grind if I'm getting a good reward and having fun but come on I've been playing daily and I've got 1 exotic drop and it was a year 1. This grind is 100% more then D1 was. I'm around 550 myself and even though I know I need to do things to level I haven't really done much of anything. Why because every drop is mostly crap, yeah I get a few level but man I don't need my 100th kinetic sidearm. Getting shit for my efforts isn't fun....
-
Lol cause this game is straight garbage
-
I'm honestly just chasing the level cap at this point. Forsaken is less shallow than the prior expansions but shallow none the less.

5 RepliesEdited by EVIL VENOM: 10/12/2018 2:08:33 PMI kind a lost interest .I’m forcing myself to try to get back in it. The game is just suffering from something that it can’t be. Breaking down gear to get gunsmith materials only to get something mediocre you’re going to break down again. There are plenty more but Simple things like that that just makes the game mindless and not fun at times makes me turn on another game and sometimes forget this game exist. I’m get me wrong the game feels rocksolid and no other first person shooter has ever felt so great but aside that the game feels even more empty than D1. I said it before nothing was wrong with D1 at the end. They should have picked up exactly from there an added this whole world on to that world including the new gear. Not adding tokens, not adding Masterwork cores to infusion, etc. To me what gave this game the biggest dive is that to me was the expansions pre Forsaken. I think they had a good thing when the game first launched but Osiris dlc was... well it was that. Warmind was an improvement but they still didn’t know what the players want then, mind you this is The second game they launched and they are still having troubles with this issue. Go figure. Anyhow I’m not gonna sit here and bash bungie anymore because I’m sure their work is already cut out for them, but it’s really time to show the players what this game is and it should be.

Im with you im waiting for RDR 2 but i wont be able to play it to november so im stuck on destiny until then
-
Ive got both MOT shirts from Destiny and couldn't get motivated to make any effort to get the first one for d2. Somehow it has never felt as engaging or generally as fun as Destiny was even through the foerver 29 days, heavy ammo drought, major raid boss glitches, etc... I still have not bought Forsaken and with RedDead2 on the 26th, probably won't unless it pops up on sale.

I really think its the crappy crucible system that has everyone getting bored of this game. And this isnt because of shoguns, or snipers, or campers, or 6 man teams. Its because of the lack of game modes. Or shall i say, everyones favorite, 3v3. In d1, when i hit a dry spell, i could just flip the game on and play 3v3 elimination when i wanted a challenge, and skirmish when i wanted a chill match. This was honestly the most fun for me. That and the fact that there was usually 5 or 6 other game modes to choose from

16 Repliesdude, i started to play destiny pvp and now i hate the game, and i was a day 1 veteran.
