What do parents think of Vaping?
So im supposed to be arguing the parents perspective of Vaping In my AP Seminar class on Wednesday. So what do the parents on this forum think? Specifically on Vaping in school.

All you are doing is setting yourself up for lung issues in the future, by literally burning money and inhaling it. And it makes you look like a complete and total tool. I understand vaping as a solution to help people who are trying to quit smoking, and get off their addiction. But those who voluntarily do it with no prior addiction to nicotine going and doing it are just really, needy in regards to fad based social pressures. I mean I see the monumentally stupid doing this in their cars, with the windows closed. They can barely see out the wind shield once they exhale. Others look like they're driving a steam powered car by the white cloud coming out of the window that hangs in the air long after they have exhaled it.

I was 1-2 pack a day smoker for 16 years. Made the switch to vape and spent time to learn about mods and the dangers and how to do things the correct and safe way. Meaning, I wasn’t an idiot. A year later I stopped vaping. Been nicotine free for almost 3 years now.

As an older person who doesn't have kids, I can give my fathers perspective. He always said vaping helped him out of smoking. He always said to never start smoking or vaping, just one more addiction.

A co-worker of mine was building his own vape thing and I guess he was tweaking it to be more powerful or some such horse hockey, and the thing blew up on his face. The guy is a lazy idiot, so I really could not care about that. Doctors used to tell patients with a cold to smoke menthol cigarettes, now they tell you to stop because of the huge host of serious ailments that have been linked to smoking. That was roughly 50 years ago, Vaping has been popular for what, maybe 10? Can you imagine what they will learn if they are studying it for another 40 years? That is what scares me, not to mention, how bad is it to inhale it second hand? Then you have smokers, who are inconsiderate assholes and yeah, I was one of them, so I know. Now those same inconsiderate assholes are Vaping and saying they can get away with it because it is not tobacco. My vehicle, you suffer. I am outside, why does that bother you? Because you are standing where I have to walk through your stench. I would rather walk through a smelly fart then a cloud of smoke. Wanna play the raid or something long and difficult? Guess who needs to stop and take a break! Working on a project at work? Guess who needs to interrupt the flow to go suck on a phallic item! I do not want to smell your bs while I am shopping, while I am driving, while I am working, or while I am try to eat. Man up and quit cold turkey like I did. It was hard and even 15-16 years later, I still crave a cigarette sometimes, I am glad I am free! So if I do not want to have it around me, you can be certain that I do not want this crap around my kids, who I am trying to raise to be better then I ever could be!

Although I find vaping obnoxious, I tried to get my mom into vaping to help her stop smoking (she's been smoking since she was 15, so roughly 30 years now) The vape caused her to have an instant panic attack. Not entirely sure why...

One of my friends works as a nurse in a school where the number 1 cause of trips to her is vaping and pot use. She is not fond of vaping, to put it lightly
