There's nothing to do on Mercury, ever. It is SO BORING how hard it is to make a space fun to play? It's already tiny as hell why slack off even further by not putting anything on the map?
*Add 3 more public events into the map at least.
*Double the amount of enemies.
*Give us more to do in that terrible waste of map!
Worst DLC ever.
Edit:
Let us also use our sparrows!

One that took the entirety of D1's life cycle to finally fix crotas end. They have no interest in actually making existing content better. They are just going to keep layering on top of it until there's no need to make more. Then maybe they will, like before as I mentioned.
-
It's so small because the rest of it is supposed to be tied up in treasure trove of wasted potential called the infinite forest. But we're all more than familiar with that
-
1 ReplyI know Mercury’s too small to really do much too. Hell, I don’t even think its layout would allow for an Escalation Protocol-type activity. Having said that… Bungo, can you amp the rate of Public Events back up, for Mercury and all other destinations, to somewhere near launch levels?!! If that can’t be done, then bump the “yellow bar” enemies that count towards Flashpoints percentage from 3% (roughly) to 5%.
-
1 ReplyThe public event should be more frequent or make the other mini events matter more. I never bother when Mercury is the flashpoint.
-
The biggest problems with Mercury. 1. Token system is a joke. Two chests from the public event and I get two tokens and a blue. Really.... For a small ass map with little to do the least they could have done was increased the amount of tokens earned. 2. Literally only ONE Public event. What about the Terminus or the Flayer prisoners? Make them public events rather than the ridiculous (though challenging) token grab they are now. 3. Unable to use Sparrows, and even the Interceptors are nerfed to have almost no mobility (or decent damage) compared to their other planetary counterparts. 4. Very little of the map is explorable in patrol. Didn't Osiris say we could use the Infinite Forest whenever we want? Use it dammit! Or, make entirely new parts of the map and use the Vex launch rings to access those areas at any time. 5. Only one Lost Sector. The map's large enough to at least place one more behind/underneath the Lighthouse or something.
-
Infinite forest should really be open at all times without adventures. You just be able to go in there and screw around for forever.
-
We are listening however working as intended😎
-
8 Replies1. The Farm 2. "Infinite" Forest 3. Mercury boop boop What are the biggest wastes of space in D2?
-
Open infinite forest, place public events, build a road from fields of glass to another area, add a lost sector or two and a public event. More Adventures too.

We live in a society

We're listening. -Bungie

3 RepliesIt would be cool if we could walk around the whole planet. Also, strikes on Mercury are bigger than the patrol map. So sad.
-
8 RepliesBungie said content is hard for them to do. Let me translate that for all of you: "We don't have the talent to put out great content." They have been telling you guys they can't make great games. It's time for you all to start believing them.
-
3 RepliesYeah they really -blam!-ed Mercury up, Freddie would be turning in his grave.
-
I hate everything to do with mercury haha. The strikes, the missions, and the flash points. Especially hate how we can’t spawn sparrows. They need to make DLC planets bigger.
-
Sadly the only way to fix it would be to make the map bigger to make room for more stuff. Which, knowing Bungie, is never gonna happen. It's been released, it was disappointing, "quick look over here at the next DLC!"

Edited by TotalDramaGamer: 7/11/2018 10:07:16 PMThe 'patrol' that we're given really looks more like the outside of the wall in D1 when we awaken. Big, empty, with a couple of enemies if you ever go back there (well, in the wall I mean). The Infinite Forest should have been the patrol area. Plain and simple. They could have made the most haphazard, shapeshifting, chaos induced patrol ever. Where a mesh of Earth and Titan and Mercury and Nessus and Io (and maybe the other planets) were all converging and changing ever so slightly, but tangibly, and enough to make you question the ground you were walking on. But nah, we get like... a football field of sand and a long a** hallway. Yay. -- Also... it's just so ironic that Bungie could make something called the 'Infinite Forest' with absolutely nothing to explore about it. Still makes me scared that the Dreaming City will be way less massive than it sounds. Heck, there will probably be a Skyrim mod made after the Infinite Forest and it'll have 100x the content than the actual Infinite Forest (it wouldn't be hard conceptually, just make 4 portals to 4 realities of the same place and each changes as you interact with the world. A change in one reality affects the other realities and some such puzzly nonsense.)

its the D2 way half finished BS but put it out anyway
-
Fix game. Game is terrible sums it up better
-
Technically the dark below was the worst dlc ever. But yea, 80% of mercury is locked behind story missions... The missions even have alternate versions too with secret shaders. But nobody grinds them. That tower defense could be a ep mode.
-
3 RepliesCouldn't agree more. It took me a lifetime to get the Milestone done. Having a single Public Event is just plain stupid and whoever thought it was a good idea should be fired. Also, I'm not a game developer but how hard is it to make it so we can use our sparrow. I find myself staying on the left side of the map the whole time. There is really no reason to go to the other side.
-
Infinite Fore....Waste of possibilities. Plus, Let us Sparrow ride on Mercury.
-
1 ReplyWe already wasted our investment in it. Why would Bunghole go back to improve something that they didn’t give a shit about? That would require them to admit their mistake and their exploitation of the community.
-
Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 7/12/2018 1:43:31 AMI think they were going to make the infinite forest make up for the map's size, but in the end they didn't?
-
The problem isn't the zone itself really, it's that the Infinite Forest was not used in the manner it was presented. They should have made Past and Future Mercury part of the zone. I love Destiny. But at this point Bungie is just...there.
-
3 RepliesRemember when we all thought the Infinite Forest would be accessible from Patrol and have randomly generated levels? Lol we fell for it
