Someone has spent nearly 2 years of their life playing Destiny 1 & 2
Was just checking the time I've spent on this game when I noticed the leaderboard and saw someone who has:
16,762 hours on Destiny 1 & 2 combined
= 698 days
= 1.91 years
That's an average of 13.06 hours per day since Destiny launched (9th September 2014).
Firstly, props to that Guardian as they've clearly killed a shit ton of enemies and done a solid service to the Vanguard 👍👍👍
Secondly, it got me thinking and I wanted to ask you all this question:
[b]Do you regret the amount of time you've spent on this game or would you do it all again?[/b]
I've got rookie numbers compared to some (923 hours) but I'd do it all again. What about you?

Don't regret it, I think my D2 time is about the same as D1 6 months in. The best times then and now have always been with my clan, it's just that the overall feeling isn't there anymore. To be clear I don't want the same feeling or D2 to be the same as D1, I want it to be more.

No regrets for either. Sure it would of been better to see the Destiny franchise do great but I’m a realist. So I enjoy watching things burn and crumble. The cycle of life.

3935hrs into D1, 686 on D2. In terms of my life its not a lot. Maybe 3-4hrs depending if i'm working or not. Day off might be ore But there is a cut off point where I get off, do something else maybe come back later. Most of that time is probably doing patrols, Raids etc etc stuff that counts into the hours. Would I do it again Damn straight. I've enjoyed the game. Its had its faults and shit for sure but aside from that there has been a lot of enjoyment from it also. Yeah it drives me nuts most times too (LAG ANYONE?!?!?)

Wow! He beat me by 6844 hrs! Yes I would do it again and regretted none of it. I played while working for 3.5 years. Lot's of waiting time in between tasks during the day. Without Destiny, I would have gone insane. Some would consider a dream job, to me it was a nightmare!

A mate of mine had 12 hours a day on Destiny 1 until he decided that it had changed too far from the game he fell in love with. He quit shortly after HoW.

I played 2,500+ hours of Destiny due in large part to the gambling elements of the game and my addictive personality in general. I regret playing about 60% of those hours. They were unnecessary. I sacrificed sleep to play. Sleep is important. I grew increasingly distrustful of Bungie over time and decided not to purchase Destiny 2. This turned out to be a fantastic decision.

1,946 hours since launch on D1 and D2. 81 days. Definitely some regret but for the most part I spent a lot of time playing with friends.

1 ReplyI spent 21d 14h 7m in the Crucible during Destiny 1, 1d 6h 5m in Destiny 2 Quickplay. Just 3h 13m in Competitive...and if the PVP doesn't change in Destiny then neither are those stats. The coming changes to Iron Banner is much welcomed, and I will check that out.

Do it again?...I'm still playing D1. Just got the Malevolence shader from Oryx the other day and the Trials of Osiris ship from lord shax's weekly crucible bounty (i didnt even know it was in the loot pool!)

Nope. Most of my time spent in the Destiny universe was with my friends. A game like Destiny works wonders when you and your best friends live hours apart and have schedules that don't exactly line up very easily. So when time permits and we're all at our houses and have some spare time, we throw on Destiny for a few hours and laugh until we cry. Some of the best laughs I've ever had I owe to Destiny. And I wouldn't trade a single one of them for anything else.

In D1, absolutely, some of the most fun I've had playing games. In D2? Hell no. Some of the worst times I've had in video games.

d1: 2582 d2: 615 + 322 on my other 2 accounts. 8 x 335 and 1 334 gaurdians. probably 1/2 of d1 is year 2, I was full on addicted to killing Oryx. if they put out some solid content in year 2 of d2 I could see myself playing d2 more. The graphics on the 1X are stunning.

But how are their stats? Anybody could leave their console on with the game running. Sounds like his electric bill might be a bit too high.
