While I commend Bungie for serving the community by offering microtransactions and the release of DLC 1.5 months after release, i do have to say it is a shame that they still didnt make the microtransaction system pay-to-win. This way people who spend time and effort have an unfair advantage over players who are willing to pay more money.
That aside, the Curse of Osiris is undeniably the best DLC for Destiny 2 to date. The stunning amount of story-content kept me up for 2 hours (although 1 hour was spend afk on smoke breaks).
While some have uttered that 20 euro's is to much for this amount of content i strongly disagree. WoW-expansions in comparison will cost you 3 times as much, and easily have 3 times less content to complain about, so you are clearly an idiot if you think youve been ripped off by Bungie.
The quality of the story missions was also really good. They send you back to Earth and IO... Its a trip down memory lane, and a nostalgic experience for fans of Destiny 2 vanilla. simply awesome.
They also made changes to economy and progression, rading caps for level to 25, which was awesome cause you finally had a sense of progression again seeing numbers increase. for me, and 90% of the community seeing numbers increase is the main reason we play! most fun i had since creating that ExCel sheet with the financial results of the company i work for!
Also i like the fact that we dont need to play for 40 hours to unlock luke skywalker, cuz that would kinda suck.
As you could probably already make up from my writing this far, i think this is what paid content should be like. It is pretty much perfect, but if i really had to complain about something it is the difficulty. This game is not very friendly for new players, during my two hours in the game i died... i hardly think that could be fun for new players. I was pushed of the edge of the tower while AFK, by people who i thought were friends.. its like high school all over again, and thats just not what a professional no-lifer wants from a game.
And that is why i will not give this DLC a perfect score, but only 12 out of 13.
enough talk, jump in the game with me and grind the nights away until the next DLC!!

4 RepliesEdited by Fledder: 12/6/2017 3:45:45 PMI fully agree with this review. The continues stream of negative posts about Destiny 2 and the DLC is completely out of balance. I really appreciated the DLC we were offered yesterday. For me it was almost three hours of gaming fun. During these three hours I was suspended from my keyboard for several minutes because of insisting contractions in the area below the diaphragm, most likely due to the excitement. Nevertheless I had the joy of in game searching for an old man with a beard, which by the way was not dressed up as Sinterklaas (this would have made the DLC even more epic than it is now). Complains about the size of yesterdays DLC are based on the wrong assumptions. The story line continues on Mercury, this is the smallest planet in our solar system, meaning a small expansion. If the story line developers of Bungie would have picked a different planet it would have been bigger. It has just been a bad choice picking a planet. Fingers crossed the next one will be called Jupiter. The only complain that I can think off is that we have to wait so long for the next DLC. It would be nice if we would have a DLC every week. Every week the enthusiasm what planet will be added. To support this they can think about a subscription on monthly fee basis, similar to the price of the DLC's. Anyway, thank you Herpie for the nice and detailed review. Glimmer for you!

3 RepliesGreat post and very true! However I have not yet bought the latest expansion as I have not yet completed the content in vanilla destiny 2. Its simply amazing that Bungie takes so much effort to provide extra content even though the game for PC is only 1,5 months old. You dont see that in other games from other developers. I hope there will be some payed catch up mechanism so I can play with my friends faster.
