Who here doesn't care that Destiny 2 is 30 fps on console?
As long as the game is good I don't care that it's only 30fps. I've gotten used to it after 3 years it doesn't bother me.
Edit: Just to clarify: I'm not saying I want 30fps. I'd take 60 over 30 any day of the week. However, I'm not going to complain just because Destiny 2 is capped at 30fps. To me, gameplay/content>FPS/Graphics.

Way I see it is if destiny on older platforms such as Xbox 360 etc, ran at 30fps on destiny 1. why exactly do we have Xbox one and PS4 now that run at the same fps? Aren't they better consoles? Destiny 2 should atleast be 60fps on PS4 pro or it's no better than the original PS4.

24 RepliesThe people who don't care about 60fps are the same people who have been crying for Raid matchmaking. Aka the most casual casuals. 60fps is needed to make a game competitive. The hit detection in 30fps games is laughable at this point. Bungie literally has no -blam!-ing clue what the PvP scene wants. I would completely agree, I played halo 4 split screened with the wife sometimes and that screen lag was ridiculous. I would gladly give up some graphics for performance. If people are that concerned with fps then get a gaming rig, ALL console graphics are trash anyways, just saying.

Looks fine at 30. Doesn't bother me at all. And even if it did, I don't see the fps boost as reason enough to build a PC to play it. I switched to console because I was tired of the extra work PC takes when I already did it for a living.

1 ReplyI'm more frustrated that there isn't dedicated servers over 60 fps v 30 fps, it's common knowledge pvp is dramatically affected by lag etc and the game in general would benefit with dedicated servers , even go down the BF route of rent a server

There's no reason in my mind why Destiny 2 shouldn't be 60FPS on console, at least in PvP. Bungie doesn't have the excuse of having to develop for last-gen systems this time around. So what gives? Other shooters on console run at 60FPS, and some of them have larger environments and destructibility. Why does Bungie insist on being behind the pack when it comes to framerate? Either the game engine isn't very good, or Bungie isn't very good at optimization.

There's absolutely no excuse for Destiny 2 to be 30 FPS. Not a single one. For those saying that Gameplay > Graphics, having more FPS effects the gameplay more than graphical fidelity does. Everything feels smoother, and more fluid, even strictly PVE players should care.

Play Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on an i7/1080ti setup at 15fps and tell me how much gameplay/content is > than fps/graphics lol

Someone please explain it to me . And on another note , the CPU"s these machines have are limiting the game from doing higher FPS anywaz . You can have all the GPU power , without the CPU power to push it , you get no DICE . PS4 Pro has the same CPU as Scorpio , except Microsoft overclocked it by 10% Case closed .

2 RepliesI could care less but that's bc I'm a pve only player. I care about 3 things in D2. 1. Raids need to be much harder, it's stated that only 50% of ppl could complete a raid, I'd like to see that number go down, not up. 2. I don't ever want to be kicked out of my menu ever again. 3. It seems having hot keys for ammo synths isn't a thing so I want to be able to get into my menu in under 2 seconds, not 15.

1 ReplyI don't care personally. I get that it will look much smoother and better on a PC or if it was at 60FPS on console. I'm not debating there is a difference, there most obviously is. I just don't care enough to invest in a gaming PC and it's not a deal breaker for D2 to me.

I herd 60 on the PC was godly at the event. If there's any chance of Project Scorpio running this @ 60 and making it the first Bungie 60 FPS console game then WE MUST have it! Someone think of the children!

I'm running a 6 year old second hand 720 plasma screen, made by a shitty knock off brand... I'm happy I can even see and play enough of the game to know I suck ass at it... What are "frames per second"?... What is "4K"?...

I don't mind the frame rate but... i am extremely disappointed that they have not set up dedicated servers. no excuse. Also they didn't mention anything about tick rate. ah and i hope they didn't make pvp 4v4 as an attempt to ease connections cause that would be very lazy and cheap.
