During the reveal today bungie stated all pvp modes were going to be 4vs4, while as a diehard halo fan I love 4v4 I don't want it in every playlist.
6vs6 means I can run with more friends and just goof around. Rumble means I can improve my gunskill in the 1vs1 battle that happen. Doubles is usually intense, close matches. 3vs3 shouldn't be forgotten either.
Why would all modes be 4s? Have them at a majority but include a 6vs6, 3vs3, rumble, doubles and maybe even 5vs5.
Or how about multi team? 3 teams of 4, or 4 teams of 3?
I really don't understand why they'd scrap something that worked for D1.
I thought with no old gen we'd even get a 8vs8, certainly not only smaller teams then D1 had.

Agree i will miss the 6v6 chaos
-
It just means they get to spend a lot less on servers, only one or two matchmaking matrixes oh and the pub stomping will be real.

2 RepliesLess players means less chances of lag. Think positive people.
-
Probably for less lag issues .

I feel as if 6v6 is cancer unless you want to end your game session saltier than the Dead Sea or are running with a team. Too much ability spam and utter chaos. I could understand them introducing like one 6v6 game mode but I do not think that they should stay 6v6 and then extra 3v3 and 1v1. Too many times I've died to an enemy super to then respawn into the same super. Wasn't even stormcaller which is the one everyone relates to in this scenario. I've got Goldy, blade, tether, hammers, you name it

RIP Combined Arms :(

3 RepliesI think it's silly as well. I was hoping for 12v12 or bigger.
-
8v8 P L E A S E
-
Bump!
-
I can only hope they have a 8v8 big team battle in their back pocket.
-
8 Replies1 word, E-Sports... Bungien want Destiny to press forward into that world, 4v4 will help that happen. Although it's stupid of them to not give 6v6 or 3v3 an option as well
-
2 RepliesYessss, pvp tears are my favorite tears. So salty
-
5 RepliesHalo 3 is arguably one of the best multiplayer experiences of all time and it consisted of 4v4 teams. Let bungie make the decisions about their game and at least try it first before you jump to conclusions.
-
3 RepliesHey we fixed our Lag... by lowering the amount of people needed to play.
-
20 RepliesEdited by mjbailey50: 5/19/2017 3:54:12 PMSo instead of fixing there servers for better performance they just reduce the player count to 4v4....really?!?!

1 Reply@Haunter please reconsider your life

Planet Destiny got out in front of the criticism by saying it will give us better connection quality. They're just another Bungie advertiser
-
5 RepliesThey did this to hide lag. P2P is here to stay unfortunately
-
I hope they'll give us a "Big Team Battle" like we got in Halo reach. We need at least one or two modes to stay 6v6
-
They should at least make a 6v6 playlist with random gamemodes.
-
7 RepliesYes, please reconsider 4v4 PvP and instead... remove the Crucible entirely. Thanks.
-
2 RepliesWill get nerfed to 2v2 because the servers can't cope.
-
2 RepliesIt's simple. No dedicated servers for D2 means we're still going to have red bar gods so the only way they thought to counter it would be nerfing the crucible. Yes, they nerfed the crucible.

Thank you for not screaming your head off at bungie like many of the other posters on this forum. I appreciate that you made a well reasoned argument instead of cussing the crap out of everyone and screaming. I agree that they shouldn't have made ALL game modes 4v4, but I think it will be an interesting change. I do hope that they at least add variations to the amount of players in game modes in future expansions (i.e. Osiris DLC).

8 RepliesDestiny 2 will still be using a peer-to-peer system, so 4v4 matches as opposed to 6v6 matches will be far less demanding on the system. The idea is to probably minimise lag since that's been such a prevalent issue in the first game.

1 Reply4 man control.....cause THATS gonna be fun. Good grief.
