Hey there PvP community! One question fo' ya.
Do you guys have to sweat your butts off EVERY SINGLE TIME you enter the PvP arena?? Would it KILL you to run anything besides Matador/Palindrome/Eyesluna??
In all seriousness guys let me know below, do you ever get bored running the same loadouts over and over and over again?
P.S. respect to all you fusion rifle-rs out there
EDIT: Holy crap, thank you for all your responses! There are some interesting loadouts here.
EDIT: I can totally understand you guys wanting to play to win, especially for trials. Here's a follow up question - do you mix it up in control, clash, etc.? It's not like you have to win in those playlists, I play those to have fun rather than win.

Edit: Not the loadout part, but the sweatness stuff. During my IB sessions, I switch different weapons (bar shotguns and snipers cus I suck at using them) to make things fun. Depending on what maps I'm going in. I don't switch heavy weapons too much though. (Since I often die before using them lol)

Recently started running with Ill will with luck in the chamber, hamer forged and outlaw. Also started messing about with murmur lol not the greatest but tis fun. Also with a dash of telesto, never used to like it but just got into it and its so fun! I would much rather play the game this way and enjoy myself, I'm not as effective as when I run my go to (first curse and god roll 77 wizard) but I still enjoy myself and in no way shape or form would I consider myself a great pvper as I know some people out there a lot would pop a squat on a player like me but I do enjoy myself playing with variety in my weapons. Nowadays its what keeps the game fresh for me :)

I run Ice Breaker and my non god roll Imago. When I sweat I use Clever Dragon God roll instead of Imago.

I personally find it a lot more fun doing what it takes to get the win over just messing around with bad weapons. I play games to win wether it's destiny or Mario kart

No dragon, no matador, so only play mayhem :) the current meta is RNG, so after hundreds of hours and no drops I just gave up

I've used Hawkmoon since it first become available on Xbox One. I can still do ok with it 75% of the time. The other times I get absolutely taken apart and it makes me salty. So very, very salty. Sincerely Lord of the Salt

I played pvp the other day and I was only killed by pulse files and matador or party crasher. It's a shame because the foundation for a solid game is there but it's buried under shit.

Eyasluna is sweet when you get a decent roll, I know I only started using mine since I finally got a decent one not too long ago

The problem is Bungie created those weapons to be above all the others. Imagine that, I can't use the Plan-c anymore, while Saladin's Vigil is so good. I can't stand using a Hawksaw, while I get demolished by HCR CD's, and my HCR CD is sitting in the vault. Bungie created this unbalanced mess. This game requires you to spend significant time, to get used to your loadout. When you spend this time and get confortable with the new guns, you can't go back to your old favorites that you feel you now have a serious disdvantage using those.

1 ReplyBecause of SBMM we get wrecked using anything but our best loadouts. Trust me, we all wish we could go into crucible with derp loadouts for fun, but it wouldnt be any fun going 0-20

Not really, winning is fun. But yes i mix it up with palindrome, lingering song, clever dragon, waltz, hung jury, cryptic dragon, oh sometimes the wail too. -blam!- matador

No, Pulse/Sniper since year 1..I have 20 total shotgun kills (all day 1)

I mean, the weapons I use depend on the map. I have around 8 primaries that I switch between, none of which is a clever/eyas/pali. I do use a matador, but only in super close quarters. However, when using No land beyond, I use a sidearm. I don't shotgun rush unless the radar screws with me and I think an enemy is closer than they usually are. I prefer to use my primary, even though I know that they aren't as powerful. It's honestly more fun than killing someone with a one-shot body shot.
