I was interested when Bungie first announced it, but after playing a few matches (for the that pos quest) I can comfortably say it's my most-hated mode in the game. It's basically just one of those modes where you sacrifice your life flinging your body on some orbs to get credit and just dying & dying & dying. In theory it would be a more strategic mode than clash, but in such small spaces with random teams and chaotic pace it just ends up being a luck-of-the-draw deathfest. All that happens is the majority of the teams murder each other, then a straggler from one team waltzes by and scoops up all of the orbs and gets mowed down by the people actually fighting. Rinse and repeat
Edit: So the main source of my distaste for this game type seems to be that I care too much about my stats lol. I guess if I didn't mind dying a million times I would have a lot more fun

Worst part of the book. That gamemode is a big pile of crap
-
I really enjoy it. My k/d is actually pretty good here. It will probably be my main pvp mode from now on. Run it with suros ari 45 with glass half full and trespasser side arm. Does damn good.
-
It stops sniper campers.
-
Only played a few matches but it was a lot of fun.

Edited by DominicO24: 9/27/2016 1:15:28 PMI think as a game mode it has interesting pros and cons. Pros: It somehow encourages a lot more team cooperation. Teams tend to stick together much more than in other game modes. Cons: Shotgun rushing is probably the most viable tactic. This cancerous tactic is viable because it allows you to kill an opponent and grab their crest very quickly, reducing the time you are vulnerable. An interesting learning curve is learning when to charge for a crest and when to take your time and use the dropped crest as bait.
To be honest I wish they would just bring back Combined Arms as a permanent game mode and make it 9 vs 9
Definitely gives a different feel to PvP. Racking up lots of kills doesn't mean much unless you get the "dog tags". Had a lot of fun with this game mode

4 RepliesIt's my favorite mode up to date there's hardly any pussies who camp with a sniper and it's a lot more fast passed
-
Its a nice change... Sick of how OP bladedancers are now though....
-
1 ReplyIt's definitely better than Clash IMO It's definitely worse than Control IMO It can be fun when you get on a roll, but being constantly mobbed is totally demoralizing. Too often both teams just pile into one central area and just feverishly spray lead at everyone in sight. It's chaotic and fast-paced, which is a welcome change over the turtle speed of Clash in recent months, but it's almost too much.

I wouldn't say "love" but I like it. Kill Confirmed was the best (only) thing I liked about CoD, so it's welcome content.
-
Love it. The only problem I have with it is the crest pick up radius, it's too small. Needs to be a little bigger.
-
I like it, it forces people to move around and has a good overall pace. Camping is a rare thing to see, unless someone is attempting to use a crest as a lure.
-
3 RepliesNot a fan, but I'll put money on it that it will be the first iron banner.
-
The best mode in pvp. It reminds me of vanilla Destiny when pvp was fast, without freakin campers and hardscopers.
-
I like it. I just keep matching up against full teams of sweaty ass nerds. But the game mode itself is way fun

Edited by DOUGIEECEE: 9/27/2016 10:03:24 AMAll the hardscopers hating supremecy lol
-
No camping snipers and mida's so yeah I like how fast it is
-
Best crucible mode in the game. Dat pace
-
1 ReplyThere are barely any camping snipers so i LOVE IT!!
-
Actually not bad quite god...fast kill fast get.
-
I'm in the middle. It could be better without all the lag. Though I think it's due to all the constant dropping of "crests". Which this whole engine is still running on past-gen console stuff a bit it seems. Here's to my hope that Destiny 2 fixes a lot of the lag issues.
-
You seem to think you can't get crests and stay alive. This is a scub idea that simply isn't true. Don't be that guy.
-
I am Not Liking how the matches almost always end up hugely one-sided Even with all randoms, things tend to polarize in short order
-
4 RepliesDo you mean Kill Confirmed? No, don't care for it.
-
I like it, better then rift.

Edited by Dr_Sorethumb: 9/27/2016 7:24:26 AMI'd rank the objective game modes in this order: Zone Control > Regular Control > Supremacy > Rift >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Salvage. Salvage is horrible and I'm glad it has been erased from the Director. Edit: now we have CoD's Kill Confirmed as well as Domination can we now have a Search and Destroy type mode?
