Golden Gun is the only reason to use this subclass now. The subclass got its armor, melee and grenades nerfed.
Gunslinger having an extra +1 armor with Circle of Life was never a problem, but let's take it away because, somehow, it makes sense.
Throwing Knives were subpar, and now they will be even worse.
Tripmines grenades took smart play, good aiming and throwing skills, and now they will take even more skills. Great logic!
Really, GG is the only good thing about this subclass now. Don't be surprised if that also gets nerfed in the next chapter of unnecessary nerfs.

Just play the game. Small tweaks don't matter much. Lol

Seems fine to me. Kills better in pve bow. pvp seems fine as well.

17 RepliesLol hunters are so -blam!-ing hypocritical. I'll tell you exactly what was told to every titan during sunbreakers inconsistencies "git gud" "adapt". Hunters barley got touched (because they don't need to be touched). 3% equates to about 5 damage. You got a 3% nerf and every hunter is acting like it's the end of the -blam!-ing world. Some are even threatening to/are quiting. Meanwhile only two perks didn't get nerfed by at least 10 percent on sunbreakers (when all that was needed was cauterize and armor reductions). That 5 damage is less than what sunbreakers melee lost. So again I'll tell you hunters what was told to us titans "git gud" "adapt". Having said all this the love tap nerf Tripmine got was NOT NEEDED.

I'd say that's up for debate with night stalker personally.

3 RepliesEdited by HypobaricPiano: 6/15/2016 2:52:56 PMDid you really just complain about the change to Circle of Life? Bizarre. 1% of players use low armour, so the 'nerf' to incendiary blade hardly matters at all. One tickle from a Doctrine will still result in a kill on all armour types. Overall, I'd say throwing knives received a buff. While I agree with the removal of stickiness, the damage reduction to tripmines seems silly. If it's meant to be a trap, let it be a trap.

Edited by MidknightRooster: 6/15/2016 7:00:52 PMAll I know is, mayhem matches might actually be crazy fun again lol. I always get paired with 4 to 5 tripmine gunslingers.

1 ReplyEdited by swarles.: 6/15/2016 4:20:00 PMwhat is up with those -blam!-ing whining?! have you guys actually PLAYED the game since the Update? those changes were so small seriously. well placed tripmines still kill people. i mean what do you want? It WAS kind of "OP" that you could just leave a tripmine and it would kill Full Health guardians. i do not notice any difference in using throwing knives. you prime someone and finish him off with it.... same thing. and this comes from someone who is maining a hunter since the beta (;

3 RepliesWorst neutral game?? Have you seen sun-breakers neutral game!
-
1 ReplyTripmines did not take much skill, but frankly, they were not OP....OP would have been that you could not see them and shoot them from a mile away... I always hated the fact that the enemy could see the tripmines coverage area... It should have taken a smoke bomb to see the lasers of a tripmines, but maybe it's always foggy in destinys universe

Hey in crucible i did gunslinger and got 36 kills with a 4kd. No one has a right too b**** in my opinion
-
Pick up ammo and what??? You get your grenade and throwing knife faster??? Throwing knife headshots give more super energy??? Chain of woe, flaming throwing knife? If anything sunbreaker does. We gave a melee that weakens them and thats pretty much it besides having a full super and getting your grenade and melee energy faster. We have 90% of our subclass based for our super. You can get faster reload and stability,

I thought I'd finally read this, annoying post. Now I'll just go back to reading forums.
-
The biggest problem (for me) with the trip mine and throwing knife nerf is that it -blam!-s up the play in PvP. It's twice as hard to get throwing knife headshots and enemies run right past trip mines now. It sucks
-
Yep, exactly. I played the PoE last night and everyone in my group could tell that we were taking a lot more damage and doing a lot less damage than before the patch. GG does a good bit more damage but that is it (I think it actually has been restored to the damage it did in year 1). Also, melees in general have been nerfed. In the nightfall last night, my Hunter and my friend as a Warlock could nit 1-hit kill a thrall. I have never seen that before. And hand accuracy is mot improved and damage dropoff is terrible now.

Incendiary grenade. Chain of woe, Gunslinger's trance. Deadeye grants more damage to GG, circle of life charges it faster.

3 RepliesPretty sure sunsingers are worse. Bubble titans bring more to the table than us

I can somewhat understand the nerf to Tripmine, what I can't stand is throwing knives. This might be biased since I never used Tripmine because I sucked with them. As the name implies, someone has to trip the mine, as in someone has to trigger the sensor on the front. So, set a great trap and wait for someone's stupidity to kick in, or push them back against their will. Sticking someone with that kind of grenade, similar to titan's spike grenade, is a stunt in its own right, but is a form of misusing the grenade. Both have a forward area of effect, so very little to nothing behind it should be unaffected. Basically, I believe the changes to Tripmine were, not justified, but understandable. The nerf to throwing knife was an act of whining "b itches", like 80% of the nerfs in this game. I mean, it is one of, if not the one melee charge that requires relatively more skill to use. So, what if Incendiary Blade can kill PLAYERS WITH LOW ARMOR STATS?! That is an option that player could change. "Ok, high armor, I could tank bullets, but I won't be able to skate as well. Nah. NO ARMOR, so I can skate can work.... How the hell did you kill me?! One knife and you killed me?! Nah uh! That needs a nerf!" Nerfing the base damage of throwing knives from this exact example, if I read the news board right, was unjustified... Like several nerfs to the game. Throwing knives can not OHK players at all anyways. Players running low armor stats should, at least, be OHKillable. Medium to high armor stats, I'm ok with not killing. Just pop an extra piece of lead into them.

6 RepliesActually it's the most tactical class, the nerfs went that bad I've been playing with it since the update changed and got throwing knife and trip mine kills just as easy.... Git good scrub
-
No I think it's better, lol,
-
15 RepliesGG is the worst super though... No damage resistance when every other super has it. I know the it is really easy to aim with but dang. If it's a 1v2 and you are a GG you have to have some snappy aim in order to make it out alive. Forget 1v2, of its a 1v1 and your opponent that is skilled you can be beaten very easily. But with all these changes Im still planning to use gunslinger with incendiary grenades.

It's sad for everyone sorry.
-
3 RepliesAre you sure about that? I think sunsinger will give you a run for your money LOL. Ain't that something. We are discussing which subclass got ruined the worst.
-
2 RepliesWhat your not thinking about is the majority of skillfull players that instant kill people with tripmines and knives that's why they deserve to be needed period.
-
A few things pisses me off: 1) gunslinger is the most neutral class but it still get nerfed. It actually takes some skills to consistently get those knife and mine kills. Its not like you throw it and even if it misses its going to do some damage anyway. Makes no sense. 2) A hunter moves slower than a fcking tank class (aka titan). Really? 3) hunters have the lowest armor. 4) bladedancers is the only class with zero recovery. Wtf? You cant specs for max armor unless you trade on recovery. The list goes on but for now ill stop here. Im so sad that they keep nerfing the fun into oblivion instead of giving players better other options. This game is getting more and more frustrating. Sorry for my bad english, not my native language and im too angry to care about it right now.
