Gjallahorn is the crème de la crème of guns, The pinnacle of achievements, and a badge of triumph. It's what all guardians strive to obtain and few have been graced to achieve. Now that Xur is selling this masterpiece, it has lost all nostalgia and value. For day one players, I can see why it would be a blessing to them, but now it's just being given away. There is a possibility of this due to the upcoming nerf in the taking King DLC, but regardless, it is a gun that should be work for an earned. Granted, me personally, this is the only gun I have really wanted, but because it's just given to me, I don't feel like I've earned the right to use it. The temptation is there, but whether I'll stay true to myself and continue to work at it to earn it, or I jump on the bandwagon along with everybody else and buy one for myself. I could always buy this one, and work for another one, but that still defeats the purpose of earning the best gun in the game. I'm not dogging on the people who are going to buy it, but I figured Bungie would at least have some respect for the players who have it already and whoever worked for it than to just give it away willy-nilly. What are your thoughts on the subject? should I jump on the bandwagon and buy it for myself, or should I stay true to myself and earn it like 99% of previous Gjallahorn owners have?
