Any reason to run the Vault of Glass?
Either now or after the Taken King arrives? I seriously hope that Bungie adds some new incentives to the 2 existing Raids so they do not become obsolete. I really couldn't care less about losing my existing legendaries if it means getting better ones. What I DO care about is phasing out the best content. This includes the Prison of Elders. Will they add new levels with new weapons/armor so there will still be a reason to play these missions?

I know it's fun, but here's my dilemma. I'm a filthy casual. My Destiny time is very limited, so any event that doesn't have built-in matchmaking becomes a chore for me (Adding MM to Weeklies was the coolest). Nightfalls are one thing, since most can be done pretty swiftly now, but I'm getting off track.
When I DO have a few hours to burn in Destiny, what will draw me to VoG or CE if there are no worthwhile rewards? Especially if I can have fun AND get some spiffy new loot elsewhere? Finding a raiding group with my friends is hard enough now... I can't imagine how difficult it'll be later when all the gear is low level.
I just don't want the greatest content in the game to become a ghost town.
EDIT EDIT: I also completely forgot that they are supposedly fixing the RNG, and maybe the Mythoclast will become "easier" to acquire. That alone would be worthwhile, if the RNG does indeed get better.

1 ReplyI enjoy running vog, have the foil to get but hardly go into that raid strictly for that. It's a great raid, Crotas end isn't, hence I don't bother running that anymore. Remember guys, we all starting playing the game with FUN the prime intention.....

VoC, the fang, Abyss, Found verdict, Preadyth revenge and corrective measures are all good reasons to still run the raids (pvp!). Oh yeah and fun, glimmer, exos, etc...

3 RepliesNo reason to run anything for a while. I am only playing because it's fun to be online with my friends. That is a sad statement to make about a game. Destiny is in bad shape. So desperate for new $$$ and losing a bunch of old money. Any one else watching your friends online list shrink every day.

How about doing it for fun. Put a challenge, only use rare or lower tier weapons and armor, or something similar.

It would be absolutely crazy if they disregarded VOG and Crota. If nothing else VOG and Crota will grant experience and rewards like nightfalls and bounties

Maybe after, depends on what they add to it. Could always go for the exotic drop, but for right now? No. No point in doing anything right now except collect Motes, Coins, upgrading materials, and trinkets you turn in for glimmer.

I feel bad for the people who feel ripped off for what they've paid for the game and the two expansions. I personally have gotten my money's worth and then some

Well, I think there isn't. If it were "for fun" I'd just run a lvl 2 mission with my buddies. Or go on a patrol. So yeah, It'll become pretty obsolete.
