I joine the feds, though I've largely kept out of powerplay for now. Im building up a Diamondback Explorer (think asp-lite) for exploration, I intend to take a long hike outside of civilized space and see what I find, maybe get star system named after me, then return, see how much I've made and maybe nab a Vulture, or pick my Viper back up and start getting involved in powerplay with an eye towards passage into the Sol system. Once I've seen earth, maybe nabbed myself a higher spec ship than my Viper, I'll reconsider my allegiance. Maybe I'll jump to the independants, maybe try some piracy, or maybe I'll just buy a big old Lakon thing and go trading...

How do you pick one?

Go into power play and read through the different factions, I suggest moving to the right space though or you could be an enemy

I picked the federation for now, then I read that later they are adding the ability to join a smaller lesser known faction and help it rise to power....sounds very interesting
