Ok. let me level with you community.
I consider myself an "OK" player. I'm not insanely good or do I consider that title.
BUT! When I myself like to run a raid, I like to do what bungie intended. To complete the right way.
I know I'm going to get static for saying the "right" way, but whatever!
For instance, I dont like to hide when legions come during the VoG raid. I like to use that as an opportunity to create mad orbs. I like to take the fight to the ground and -blam!- em up. (I am 34 after all fighting 30s.) I see no need to hide in a hole shooting my super weaponized load out and maxed armor. I feel I can commit to that portion.
I also don't feel it ultimately necessary to hide up top for oracles eihter. I just dont. Like, is it really that hard to lead your team on the ground to knock out a few rounds of dipshits while other dipshits are trying to shoot you?
Or the bridge encounter on crota. REALLY? does anyone even know how to do it the intended way? I've played a lot of crota and have never been in a fireteam that i didnt lead that did the entended route. It all about rez warlocks and swinging across.
I know there are some good players, i can not be the only one that thinks thats shit when you go in to a LFG or whatever group and its all kids and backlatchers attempting hard shit the easy way. LIKE WHY.
Feel free to slay me, berate me, and insult below. I still dont care much. Only a little. naw, not even that much.

1 Reply6 raids a week...
-
2 RepliesI believe a raid should be able to be completed in multiple ways and not just how bungie wants you to complete it.
-
This game is always about getting stuff done quick for the reward only, not the completion! Vog, I see no problems jumping down as long as everyone else does... I hate being the only guy down there! If that was the plan, at least let me know! Legions isn't too bad, most of the time I'm far too involved to even see the text (can get taken out by harpies if everyone else has hidden without saying anything)! Crota, different story... That bridge!!! I remember my very first completion 'okay, we can cheese, but I'd like to do it properly next time'... I have yet to complete that properly!!

2 RepliesThat's great. I feel the same way OP. Now do it over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. You want that *insert raid weapon here* right? Yeah. Eventually you just stop giving a -blam!-, you just want to finish the raid as quick and easily as possible. Raids are fun to play certain ways, only when you have a group that can do it though.

Edited by a swedish devil: 6/26/2015 8:04:17 AMYou, I like you. The legions are a perfect opportunity to create a massive amount of orbs so that you can take down the Templar in no time (provided that you don't whipe to stay up top) and wtf is so hard about doing the bridge legit, it's more fun that way...
-
Mainly crota cuz its so easy now but I find vog alot more fun even though I do it less
-
2 RepliesI do the same that you do in VoG but never have done the bridge in crota the right way since I'm main titan I swing to the other way I don't even know what your sup post to actually do
-
I don't really feel like crota is much of a raid. How is it a raid if one guy can do all parts of it in less than 20 minutes? Now the vault has always had that team strategy feel, where everyone has to do their part. I find the prison fun but it still doesn't have the coordinated effort type of work. Pretty excited for the next raid! Hopefully it will be as well thought out as Vault of Glass.

3 RepliesI hate how nobody can actually do the bridge. I usually leave groups when they force me to cheese, and they can't even cheese it! I love actually doing the bridge but I never get to do that
-
1 ReplyEdited by Kreepz79: 6/26/2015 7:21:18 AMIts hard to find groups that don't want to cheese at least a section of a raid unless your grouped with people you know
-
1 ReplyI feel you man. Usually I'm the only one in the team though, so I end up going with the group and cheesing like a lamer.
-
2 RepliesI know what you mean. For VoG especially I love going down and fighting instead of hiding because I enjoy holding relic, and with a team of 5 with you down there it's just more enjoyable, at least to me. For Crota, I haven't done the bridge legit in forever though, because either a) people don't know how, or b) people are too incompetent to stay alive on their appropriate side.
-
2 RepliesThere is no difference between 30 and 34 in VoG hard. It's a placebo effect. You do the same damage and take the same damage.
-
2 RepliesI know where you're coming from, if you have a team of 6 doing the bridge is so much fun! Either being the first across or the last one over are the two important roles, I only jump across if I solo it. Doing the vault in the Templars well from down below is also more intense, I always used a sniper when we got to oracles. But once I left my shotgun on and just used my primary for the snipers that shoot you and it made it so much easier.

1 Replymy clan runs raids legit every week
-
1 ReplyI dont raid cause the game is boring
-
1 ReplyI love raiding. The feeling of 6 strangers coming together as a team is second to none as far as other shooters go. Bungie really struck gold as far as raids go.
-
2 Replies-blam!- no fgt
-
Mega feels man, I need to see some teams take it the extra mile and challenge themselves with the struggle of the content provided. not the easiest solution.
-
Yeah, I do. It's a lot easier than round 4 of the 34 POE this week...
-
2 RepliesNothing wrong with swinging sword IMO. By the time the bridge is built up im already over with my Titan usually, (can do with hunter as well), killing all thrall and all adds on the other side
-
2 RepliesOf course I still raid. Good opportunities for exotic drops. Plus now that most of us are 34s, both hard raids are very easy and relaxing. Its a good chill event after grinding Trials and 34 and 35 PoE.
