Thorn Bounty (Part 2)
So I completed the rest of the Hive part and set off for the crucible.
Two matches with a total of no kills and no assists and one kill (although I was sure I had two) and no assists and about 15 and 20 deaths respectively.
Not only is that a shocking KD (although strictly speaking there's no K in Match one) but it illustrates completely the futility of players like me, who suck at crucible even with weapons we like, doing this bounty.
I really applaud those of you who manage it so seriously well done.

It did it for all my friends by using their accounts... I did it 6 times for 6 different people. One of them only had a void shotgun and did it in about 20 matches Camp

4 RepliesI used a void Helios with accelerated coils and it worked very nicely. Also helped that the game matched me with terrible people! Good luck!

3 RepliesYou got no idea what hell is facing you in that bounty. The crucible part is a walk in he park compared to the end of the bounty. I completed the Crucible part with ease but every time succumb to the horror that is Xyor the Unwed. You're in for some hell.

I had that bounty for 2 months because I could never got past the crucible part? I always went 1 step forward and 3 steps back but last week I decided to persevere through it (and sadly with Atheons Epilogue/shot gun/machine gun all void) with my warlock it took me about 3hrs. It seems daunting but don't give up. Just push through and if need be stop, rest and continue doing it another day. It's not impossible, believe me - if I can do it, anyone can lol. I waited for iron banner to complete it I'm not sure why I found it easier tho

For me i used a warp fusion rifle In rumble. I got 100 point a match at least.

The void part for thorn was super easy I got a great range and impact dead orbit fusion rifle that does void from a rank up package and it only took my 10 mins to get it done in rumble

1 ReplyI am terrible at pvp, had the bounty for a month and kept putting it off. Got a rare void fusion as a drop and saved it. I used it exclusively for this bounty and finished it in a couple hours. Unfortunately if your not good like me you need to play cheap. Take the shot with fusion and and run/jump away. I had a few bad games in my attempt but always ended up with plus points at the end of the matches. This bounty almost cost me new controller. I didn't realize how durable these ps4 controllers are. It has been thrown in a rage a few times during my time in the crucible. In the end I actually had fun completing it. For xyor, try to recruit someone to help. 1 ReplyI also suck at pvp, but with a good void fusion rifle i made it. Took me like 7 hours or something, and don't try to rush it spread it over a few weeks...

1 ReplyMy very first game for that part of the Thorn bounty, I got 39 kills, a 7.8 kill/death ratio and 110 points out of the 500 needed. I completed that bounty in about 5/6 more games. Half of my Destiny play is in PVP tho. You just need to play more Pvp preferably in a party. Are you on PS3/ps4? It's my impression that there is a greater amount of highly experienced Multiplayer gamers on Xbox. Constantly running into knock down drag out full party games.

1 ReplyUse a void sniper and void shotgun it took me 4 hours it can be a little frustrating I have seen people playing on rumble getting there's friends to run to them and kill them to speed it up good luck.

3 RepliesWait until next week. IB will be up and all the good players will be gone from normal crucible. I did mine with a fusion rifle and truth in normal crucible durind IB week and finished it in 3 hours.

1 ReplyOf you didn't know already, crouching and staying still takes you off the radar for about 5 seconds, that plus a void shotgun will help a ton. My all around k/d in crucible is like 0.35. started doing the bounty yesterday and have 300 points now

4 RepliesGet a void fusion. I used a plug one with accelerated coils. And heavy ammo is key. Trust me man stick with it I think it's the most rewarding thing in Destiny

3 RepliesIt's tough for strictly PvE players, got it done in four or five games for my buddy on his warlock the other day. Try this out: - Atheons epilogue or word of Crota as a primary - Obviously a void secondary and heavy. I liked running with Praedyth's Revenge and Corrective Measure. - Use void fang vestment if you have it, spam those bolts. - Make sure you connect with that super, I'd suggest rushing flags once it's full. Hang back as much as is effectively possible to suit your set up. You'll get it with some practice. Keep your head on a swivel with heavy, that's where you have the most potential to rack up some quick points. If possible get some buddies to help you out in the crucible so you don't have chuckleheads snatching up the heavy ammo all the time.
