I've joined dames and I'm glad that i did it. Met few rly amazing, cool and funny girls. If it comes to being harassed, happened once and i actually was mega def by other guys in team ( that was awesome). I'm still playing in mixed teams but dames gave me an oportunity to meet girl gamers. I don't understand attacks on dames. If some guys couldn't behave like normal ppl, girls made their own way to play for fun and spend time in game without being harrased, insulted etc. Haters gonna hate...so dont worry... Good job Belle

2 RepliesI tried to join and they denied me, im a female player im 22 years old... im in obsessive destiny disorder (ODD) it a branch off clan of dads of destiny. they took me in when I couldn't find people who would play with me because I was a girl, i'm currently the on girl in our happy little clan but I wanted to meet some female players so I put in for a membership and they denied me with no explanation.

I completely agree that the fact that women have had such a terrible experience with online multiplayer games is saddening. I honestly had no problem. I am a girl and I only had one person who was weird about it. Everyone else was super sweet to me. No one has treated me any differently for being a girl and I honestly like that better than special treatment. I understand the ideas of the Dames of Destiny, I think it is a good idea, but I also think it is a blanket to bigger problem. People should just learn to be more kind while playing. Reporting people is a great idea when things get weird. I personally am not signing up for the Dames of Destiny, but it is a good idea in my opinion.

It is amazing that Bungie did this shout out. Dames Of Destiny do a great thing for the community. But it is also amazing the amount of NEGATIVITY and posts I am finding in the replies. I see a lot of hate for the dames, but that is why they made the clan. The clan is created so girls/women who play destiny are not subjected to this (boys can join safegamers clan also created by Belle). So in a way your hate messages are supporting the dames in their mission to show the world how much girls can be subjected to online. (don't forget the boys!) But in all seriousness, as long as the internet humanity will probably never stop being (explicit)s. I don't know why it has to be this way but if we bond together like the dames do, we can protect ourselves.

I had a bad experience with these ladies.. I tried to join their ps3 group site. They responded that i would have to fill out a formular to request to join and link a social website to verify my gender. First i thought it was good they made sure that it was a girl only group. But then i got told that when i send the formular, i would get booted out of my own clan and join their clan. I got a bit confused that i couldn't just join their group and still be in my clan, and they wanted to verify me through voice communication... Then things got a little too complicated and i felt more like applying for some secret cult, than "the female gamers that were just playing together and having fun", the admin i was chatting with just left the conversation without even trying to give me an explanation. Well no dame access for me, but its okay theres plenty other much more open minded girl groups out there.

I'm not a "lady" but I have a hunter Exo (Or Be A exo female) and I love to play with her (not that I'm gay) have respect for women and to this day think the woman and strong but that man (remember'm not gay)

See, if people would raise their children to treat others with equal respect, whether or not they are male or female or transgender or a squirrel, then these problems wouldn't arise. My girlfriend and I get along quite nicely and, oh, guess what? We met on XBL. Clans for females-only because of the -blam!-ton of disrespect they get scares me. It scares me because that many people are being unfairly treated just because of their -blam!-ing gender. Grow up people. Just because somebody has a different set of genitalia than you doesn't mean you have to treat them like -blam!-.

2 Replieswe don't need an article on bungie to advertise our clan, we can hijack someone elses :) Search for Destinys answer and request an invite. No requirements for clan tag. if we're free we usually jump in and help out clan members .

Why can't we all just get along?! As a female who loves to play, I don't feel insecure about about it. Usually I am the only woman on a fire team. But that doesn't make me afraid. Because real gamers know it isn't about gender, it's about the game, having fun, and accomplishing your objective. In fact, most of my PSN friends happen to be male. Sure, I have been harassed a few times, but I don't let a few immature jerks get in my way of having fun! I'm not denying that there are misogynistic types out there, but there are easy ways to avoid them. I know the Dames of Destiny has a good purpose, I guess I'm just sad that there are so many women who feel 'unsafe' in the general gaming community. At least they have a place to play. Just as a caveat, I have founded a Clan, Honor of the Vanquished. It is open to everyone and anyone, no matter what your playing level is (newb or veteran). It meant to be a relaxed clan with a fun atmosphere.

2 RepliesI do agree only because I am female, and I do play destiny. I have had many men I play with be awfully rude and disgusting. There are many men that are adults and children and if Adults play these games they can be rather mean especially teenagers. I am 11, and I am proud of it. I do not care what others say, I love videogames and I love playing destiny and I am really good, well I am level 31.
