I have heard many people talk about how they hate glide with the warlock compared to lift with the titan. Now to me it doesn't make sense since each has its perks however it seems obvious which one is better. With lift it can get to great heights where glide cuts it kind of short going upwards however glide goes much farther and you can glide and boost in several different directions if used properly the glide can help you run faster than a hunter with maxed agility. Evading an enemy is easy as a warlock given that you have to boost on your glide not to mention it's easy to control. Now the hunter has a very good jump that triple just it awesome. A quick jump helps a lot given the situation but I'd prefer control boost to evade situations that prove too much. So anyway that's my opinion.

3 RepliesEdited by FullmetalChef13: 2/23/2015 9:29:24 PMFor me, Hunter's double/triple is the best, followed by lift, then blink, then warlock's floofing about. I can't stand warlock's glide, I feel like u have no control over it in addition to it feeling so slow, unlike the hunters jump.

Glide is far better than lift, and triple jump/blink are better than either once you know how to use them.

Titan jump > warlock jump > a small white child jumping to get something off the top shelf > hunter jump

Edited by Th3Element05: 2/24/2015 3:17:59 AMI can usually jump higher with Glide than with Lift. I seriously think that most people comparing them have a ton of experience with one and very little experience with the other. They appear very similar, but Glide is an entirely different animal than Lift. They are both decent jumps (better than Double Jump, even though I prefer my Hunter over my Titan overall) but I prefer the more precise control that Glide gives me over the unavoidable "lift" that is Lift. *the preceding statement is my opinion, if you think yours is better then I don't care, I'm happy with mine.

I hate glide. I feel like it makes you so vulnerable.

I just blink all over the place and troll people. In the crucible, it's hilarious blinking behind somebody, watching them whip around frantically for 2 seconds, then blowing their head off with a shotgun.

1 ReplyI consider the three jumps like this: Lift- For height Glide- For distance Double Jump- For accuracy This is simply my own opinion, but I think the Hunter's jump is the best based on my play style. I main a Hunter.

Blink

Lift = Height Glide = Distance

Glide got me across the bridge the first time we made it through the thrall maze. I have no complaints.

Lift > all

Bro do you even lift?

6 RepliesPeople who hate glide are doing it wrong.Change it so you get the burst of speed, not more control.Use Focused Burst on Voidwalker and Sunsinger, don't use Balanced Glide on Sunsinger, the upgrade to speed is not as good as Focused Burst.

1 ReplyGlide>Lift All you have to do is aim after gliding so you can fall and it's pretty much the same thing as lift. With glide you can go much farther distances and you have much better control. But that's just my opinion

Glide is a broken ass version of lift.

Glide

Glide is my overall favorite. Lift is nice, but feels clunky and slow compared to Glide Only other jump I like other than Glide is my hunter's Triple.
-
Glide is great horizontally. Vertically? Screw that shit and gimme my Titan's Lift. Overall, though...yeah, I still say screw that shit and gimme Lift instead.

15 RepliesGlide is by far the worst jump in any situation, except for when you need to jump further than a titan or hunter can without worrying about enemies shooting you(aka never).

I'm so accostumed to Glide that anything else feels akward.
