Why are we in Russian "Cosmodrome"?
Russia hasn't even been to space? The only people in Space are China, India, and the USA? Its not like Russia would ever advance further than us? Why would the Traveler go to Russia instead of America?

I feel as if you don't actually know your history. Russia was the first country to send a man to orbit.. Also one would assume that a golden age of human civilization where we started colonizing other planets would see a unified human race under one banner.
