Edit 2: Opinions if he is random or not seem 50:50
Edit 3: IDC about ghorn or weapons shit.
Its about that its close to impossible to get exotic armor without xur .

It's probably random, but certain items have a much higher chance at appearing in the loot table.

No it's not random Remember When you could play big team battle in halo 3 but then you had to buy dlc maps in order to play what the game had originally came with? There were once expansion packs that added to the game. Then they became dlcs that added something that should have already been in the game. Today we are looking at dlcs that ruin the game for people who don't buy the dlc.

3 RepliesHave you all considered that he might be programmed to only select random loot from Dark Below exotics when Omnigul is the Weekly? That would explain why he only sells Dark Below gear when Omnigul is the Weekly. Hence, repeated gear. There's a pretty small loot table for Dark Below, he would only sell No Land Beyond or Dragon's Breath for weapons on DLC weeklies. Also, what company would sell Voidfang about 6 times nearly in a row?

I was a firm believer that he was random, and I've even argued that point on these forums on several occasions. After seeing what he's selling today though, I can't honestly believe that anymore. This week (week 21) Xur is selling the exact same items as he sold 4 weeks ago (week 17). Same weapon, same armour, same engram. I'm perfectly aware that if it's completely random, or even random but with a weighted element, that it's entirely possible for this to happen, but I just can't convince myself that that's the case. It seems obvious to me that Bungie are pushing for people to buy the DLC, and that's their right and I don't have a problem with that per se. Other than heavy ammo, there's nothing that I'm desperate for from Xur (the only weapons he can sell that I don't have are Hard Light, Red Death and Universal Remote). But to say it's random is, in my very own personal opinion, false.

Edit:Bump the shit out of this post so bungie finally notices that we wont let us screw over every week![/quote] idiots. week before hard raid and 3helmets which replenish health + ice breaker. in last 3 weeks multiple guns and armor from DLC when in reality they added like 3 exotic guns ( which are all garbage ) and about 2-3 armor pieces. 4 days before iron banner he sold the last word ... ok.. idk who wants more evidence that he clearly is not RNG. everyone who has brain and knows a bit of maths knows probability of getting the same warlock chest like 3-4 times is so low that its VERy VERY unlikely to happen.
