That's funny because that's how 90% of the gaming community views COD players.

  • Well now Destiny and CoD players can rejoice in being casual pvp'ers together

  • You guys are morons if you think high TTK is the only way to reach skill leveled games. I've been great at both World of Tanks which takes forever to kill- to CS 1.0 where the TTK could be under half a second. And I can tell you CS required more skill. Why? Shorter TTK allows you to dominate if you're skilled enough. Where World of Tanks meant having tactical/strategies to get ahead. I would say it takes skill in this game. Why? Because people wouldn't dominate as much if it didn't. Halo was a horrible multiplayer experience. It reminded me of a 90s game.

  • Yes genius, it takes skill to be good at something. But it doesn't take skill to play pvp in Destiny. Not when you have supers, lingering damage hand cannons, mega aim assist suros, and the plethora of other casual friendly weapons. You're getting dominated because you're playing against better players (or lag), but not because the game requires skill. Checkers doesn't require skill either, but u guarantee you there are plenty of people that will dominate you in it. Don't call people morons, it just makes you look like one.

  • So wait. I'm being bettered by people with more skill but this game takes no skill to be better? Great argument. 1) The only thing I will agree with you is lag. (or Lag compensation?) A couple times last week my connection was really bad and I had to do four exotic bounties. Instead of getting owned by people with superior connections I was the one killing everyonE. I didn't feel the lag, but I know the other players did. I don't care for KDR, but total points and I went 8.0 KDR. Other than shotguns being OHK - and fusion rifles sniping half way across maps - your guys arguments make no sense. The reason why my KDR sucks is because I focus on total points in a match. This game takes strategy. Which requires skill. Tactics as well: you usually lose a match before the first round is even fired. Lower TTK = higher skill ceilings period. You guys probably can't handle reaction times I guess. Although I'll agree the amount of one hit weapons is cheap - I will tell you stopping enemies from obtaining the position to use those is part of the game

I said "it takes skill to be good at something". So yea, if you want to get top points on your team or do well, then it will take practice. But if you just want to go in a match and get some kills and have fun, i.e casual play, then you can do that as well. My main argument is that it takes no skill to play Destiny pvp. It's not a hard or complex game. There's no load outs, no huge map strategies, or high ttk. Bungie has geared and balanced their game specifically for casual players. Short ttk keeps players attention because they can jump right back in and try again. Long ttk means that every interaction is important so it requires skill and strategy. Again, fusion rifles and shotties yes, but also high aim assist, lingering damage, tracking rockets and clusters, multi kill supers, ohk grenades, ohk melees, etc, all these variables are what make the game easy and fun to play. It's why it's so addicting. You don't have to be skilled to get kills. And your kdr argument is flawed. If you're focusing on points in a game to help your team win, kdr is the most important aspect of the game. More kills=more points for your team. More deaths=more points for their team. The only strategy you need is if you play control and you need to capture at least two zones to gain advantage. It's not like CTF where you need snipers in position, someone driving the vehicle and manning the turret, someone defending the base, and someone getting the flag. This is hands down the easiest, most mechanically sound fps pvp I've ever played. And maybe you should look at my stats before you make assumptions. I'm not bad at this game. My reaction time is high and I know how to take cover. But my point is that you don't need to be skilled to play this game. Lower ttk=easier kills. It's checkers, not chess.
