First off: if you don't like it, you could not play it, also if a 20v20 mode were to be implemented, so would a server and much more drastic additions to pvp (lets be honest, it blows right now). If the calamity, chaos, cluster-blam!-, confusion, teamwork, flanking, timing, turnarounds, branched off team tactics, and etc don't sound fun to you, still vote yes so you can play 6v6 with an actual "team" and not people running off + the server thing.
Its year 2015 and games like this only have 6v6, honestly I'm disappointed and ashamed that companies like bungie, activision, trearch, and valve are so large if they cant go above 16 ppl per pvp match (warhawk was 32 and it was doing it right, but Destiny doesn't go above 12). Why not be the first to change and make a fun game where it is an all out warfare of guardians? 20v20 deathmatch? id easily pay about 200 bucks just for that game (not including the system) but the people making games are thinking "lets make more shaders and do some balancing on already balanced guns; the players want big explosions and fancy music and art", to be honest, idgaf about art music or explosions (unless the explosion is useful and i can get more than 1 person with it) i would've gotten this game if it had oldschool doom graphics with this gameplay, but after playing it, my mind has changed because it caps at 12 players per pvp match. As is, if I didn't already own this game, id pay $25 for it tops. Basically what I'm getting at is make this game fun and add in more everything like gamemodes levels players and choices and a 20v20 pvp mode because -blam!- yeah.
for a legit poll on adding a dance coach to the tower, your vote would be appreciated here https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/95485476/0/0

1 ReplyI rather have 6v6v6
-
1 ReplyAt least more 6v6 gets boring fast
-
1 ReplyThey should have added a ground war type into the new dlc maps in a way
-
1 ReplyIt's true what you say but they'd have to rework the maps and shit, guess they should have done it from the start:3
-
3 RepliesHoly sh*t man. Sounds funny though
-
1 ReplyLag and maps are too small for 20v20
-
3 RepliesLast Gen Consoles. That's why we don't have a lot of stuff.
-
1 ReplyReally? Their servers can barely handle 6 vs 6...and you want 20 vs 20?
-
1 ReplyBattlefield 4 has certain serves for certain glam odes like Conquest and Obliteration that has 64 players in one lobby. Not saying Destiny should have 64 player matches (though it would be fun and explosive to play over and over) but maybe introduce a larger player count, cause 6v6 is a little lack lustre, plus no-ones gotten most of the in-game medals due to the dyer lack of Ayer to pen on.

5 RepliesThis is a really good idea but they still need to add in more maps and make them bigger but they also need more vehicles I mean come on just 2 vehicles is bowl why can't we use the spider tank (fallen walker) or the cabal tank (forgot the name) if they had those in pvp I'm pretty sure more people would play combined arms I know I would. I am bringing up combined arms because that's what it would most likely be with a large map, large map=vehicle combat and vehicle combat=big fun battles.

5 RepliesI'm not going to even vote because your options are immature but do you not think Crucible connection is bad enough as it is? You're insane if you think this would come close to working.

1 ReplyThe most fun and rewarding Crucible matches I've played were 3v3 and the recent 2v2 modes. I'm not super competitive, I'm mainly a PvE solo player, but I feel like Destiny wouldn't even play well enough with a standard 8v8, I'm assuming that's why it wasn't even included.

3 RepliesYeah ps4 just isnt powerful enough for such large modes. Would be cool if they did 32v32 like in battlefield. Some epic battles in that game lol

5 RepliesEdited by I_is_Bowser: 1/29/2015 5:11:47 AMA couple reasons why not; 1. Hardware limitations. Ok, bungie pretty much has to (or probably should) incorporate the whole player base for any added features, and, well I seriously doubt the xbox360 and ps3 (the ps3 at least) could handle it (seriously, it can barely handle a wifi connection. I get kbps down and up when my computer right next to it gets 20mbps down and 5mbps up). 2. It would be so laggy. Crucible is already really laggy, adding more people in would just make it laggier. 3. Fireteams only handle 6 people. When I play crucible with a fireteam, it's because I don't want random people on my team. 4. It isn't cost effective. If they made it dlc, few people would by it, making it not worth the time to design bigger maps and make matchmaking work. Why pay people to make this? 5. 6v6 is fine. I don't see the problem with it. Also, if you got destiny just for pvp, return it for counter-strike or some other game that handles pvp better.
-
3 RepliesIf pvp was the main focus of destiny ( which is not) then it would be: + Laggy as hell. + A Super Ability ragefest. + Matchmaking would be too long. + Pretty much resource waste. You might better play bf4 or CoD or halo if you want to be in just for pvp.

10 RepliesOnce they drop Xbox 360/PS3 support something like this might be able to happen, but for now were stuck with old gen limitations.
-
10 RepliesHardware limitations ps3/360 and servers
-
3 RepliesYou would get nova bombed, blade danced, golden gunned, shoulder charged, or FoH'ed every fifteen seconds. No. Limit to one super or none at all and we'll talk.
-
2 Replies20 isn't divisible by 3
-
3 RepliesMaps aren't big enough and would be to unbalanced
-
14 RepliesLol did u really just say that servers are currently NOT implemented? Are u daft as fuuck? Kid, bungie can barely handle 6v6.. They would have to pay a FORTUNE to upgrade their server to a 20v20 possibility. They aren't willing to spend that much money on something that makes them ZERO dollars. Use your head. I would love 20v20 but the motivation just isn't there.
-
5 RepliesMostly hardware restrictions, they have to support ps3 and 360 versions, any big "innovations" that may come will be in the second game. Plus i doubt at the current stage of the games servers if it can even handle more than 6v6.
-
6 RepliesEven 6v6 players us laggy, I can't imagine how bad 20v20 would be.
-
5 RepliesI like this idea, but it shouldn't be added until the connectivity is made more stable. I personally have not had problems staying connected to destiny servers but my friends are always having trouble. My brother has even had trouble staying connected and we were both in the same room on the same 50 meg connection.

1 ReplyNo way I would stuck around and wait for matchmaking to find me 39 other guardians to play with. Plus most of the maps are too small.
