Hunter: Least important in Hard Crota's End?
My main character is a Hunter, but I am wondering if I should have made a 32 warlock or Titan first to do Crota's End on hard. Between the self revive and the bubble shield, what is the benefit of having a hunter for this raid? Is invisibility still useful here? What's the scoop?

1 ReplyHunter had been the most useful for us in hm Crota! Have a Hunter go invisible with the thrall and activate the bridge. Have a Hunter hold the sword and go invisible and the boomers and Crota ignore him. Yay hunters!

Guys who beat it in 27 minutes had hunters - hey go invisible and get to the song singer witch etc! I got one of each character type so can do it anyway the team needs =)

Bungie balanced the CE raid quite well. Each class contributes to the raid. Bladedancers run the lanterns and hide while the rest of the party walks up and either runs across or does the final push. All classes have their strength at crossing the bridge first. Hunters can go invisible to hide by the lantern post till more players cross. Hunters are the best at the sword. Fastest jump, run speed, and the ability to go invisible. Titans smash at lanterns. Blind grenade at bridge. And blessing of light at the deathsinger and Crota. If they have saint-14 helmet, super great. Second best with sword. Warlocks can self revive or DPS/create orbs. Warlocks are my choice to destroy the shriekers. If they die they wait till the party is ready to attack deathsinger, revive, and spam grenades. Or charge deathsinger and bounce around the room using melee, grenades, and rockets on deathsinger, when they die they revive and spam grenades. Their jump is slower so they need better timing to run the sword.

Hunter is the star of CE. Bladedancer is the best swordbearer (stealth under crota) Bladedancer can solo lamps or save the paesans (titans, warlocks) from a wipe, soloing the lamps Bladedancer can stealth to the witch and unload is master race gjallahorn on her, saving the paesans (yeah, them) Gunslinger can down swordbearer in 2 sec using 4shot golden gun Hunter bd helmet regenrate full healt whit 1 orb Hunter has a cape

You can't be serious, hunters are basically sword bearer period, Titans are dope and warlocks pretty much suck.

A blade dancer has hungering blade which will help you regen health in the Crota fight. Also, an invis spec blade dancer is the best choice for running the sword: highest agility + invisibility = extremely valuable!

Hunter honestly has been the best players for all of my raids including hard mode. Titans bubble is good but hunters are great compared to the other two

I see titan and hunters to be the most crucial. Titan for Blessing of Light and Hunter for Sword Bearer. I beat it last night as a 32 hunter running sword. Nothing beats downing the sword bearer, using special then cloack perk with RT, pick up sword get near crota, hit 3 times, drop sword, blink stirke to cloak, pick up sword, and hit 3 more times. You're invisible most of the time there so that is HUGE. Add that with MAsk of the Third and you're golden.

as a a hunter i can solo the abyss, survive the far end of the bridge, sneak through shrieker room to get chest. you can heal your self in the raid and go invis to ensure maximum swings when running the sword. dont do this raid without a hunter

All you have to say is "32 Hunter beaten Crota multiple times as the sword bearer" and you're a shoe in for an invite.

Nope... I am a warlock and feel safest when a hunter has the sword... They have the most experience and I feel like they are overall better at it.

Warlock. Hunter is a must as a sword bearer, due to invisibility to pick up the sword and invisibility in between downs. It takes the risk out of it. Titans are needed for the bubble against the boomers.

Skill is most important, then gear and then class. The only thing I can see as maybe a must is at least one defender titan

Most important, apart from titan bubble, they can go invis after hitting Crota with the sword, warlocks even if they self revive they will still summon the over soul so it's pointless

Hunter who is not running sword can golden gun and generate just as many orbs as warlocks with the teams cooperation #hunter master race

I'm a warlock, but I'd say warlocks are probably generally the least useful in hard crotas end. Hunters with invisibility make the maze and the bridges a walk in the park, also make great sword holders.

Hunters can run faster through lamps invisibility always helps when in a bad spot

2 RepliesI've looked at a lot of LFG posts trying to find groups for hard mode Crota and the general consensus seems to be that Titans are most useful on Crota while hunters are sought for as swordbearers and warlocks are primarily wanted for cheesing the bridge.

1 ReplyNo... Hunters can deal max DPS on Crota. Our first Crota kill on HM was with a hunter as swordbearer. Here's a video of our first HM Crota kill. It was messy AF, but we've gotten much more efficient since then: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/94504713/0/0

It's definitely warlocks in this one. Because dying has a penalty other than no respawn. And before you say that dying and coming back is still good let me say that the oversoul takes away valuable time and messes with the plan.
