Was just watching videos of people who glitched in to a lot of the DLC content before it was released.
It's all exactly the same. I don't understand. How can people still be this naive? Bungie, you said that it was there and that it did not represent the final product. Except they haven't changed one bit. So what gives?
I sincerely hope Traitors Ketch and Dusk Warrens change significantly and aren't the only 2 new areas.
I acknowledge that DLC doesn't get started day 1 of release and a lot of time goes in to patching and adding small things.
But this game was in development for presumably 4 years. So we get as little content as we get, with a lot of it locked away? How about the story that I haven't been able to find yet? After completing the black garden mission, I asked myself, "What's next?"
But that was it. There wasn't a next. The story was over. That queen I had maybe started to like? Irrelevant. That great opening scene of the mars explorers finding the traveler and waking up in a field of rusted cars. SOMETHING happened. The Collapse. But what happened? What exactly? GO IN TO DETAIL.
Despite that, we are given few areas with little to do other than grind. But we find many areas that have been created and can be explored, but aren't supposed to be. So we ask: What the hell were you doing, Bungie?
I can't help but feel as though we as players have been cheated. I saw Urk post on twitter about how that DLC leak that surfaced was fake.
Ha. Jokes on you, because unless there's some sort of truth to that, your playerbase is going to give up.
I love Destiny. LOVE it. I probably will continue to love it, but I can't help but feel cheated. I think it's about time we demand an official response from Bungie about what the -blam!- happened with their game.
Bump so we can get an answer, Guardians!
EDIT: Keep bumping, guardians! We need Deej to see this!
EDIT2: Over 1000 guardians demand answers, Bungie! Keep bumping!!!

Lol remember when this was a thing?

Oh no, you mean they weren't so nearsighted as to only create enough space for the content they launched with?! How dare they expect to expand their game in the future and create the foundations before hand.

Edited by Jorgieus-: 1/17/2015 2:51:10 AMYou will not get a response Deej doesn't respond, we have been asking stuff from this list since the launch of this game and no response. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/88755674/0/0/1

3 RepliesIt's like laying the foundation. I don't really care whether the areas or there or not I completely enjoy the game enough so that I'll by the DLC if you don't feel that way don't buy them. I see all this petitions and Deej posts. Guess what Bungie doesn't care you bought the game, they made their money see you later.

1 ReplyThe citadel was very fun to explore, 3 dead ghosts there too. Also, you can jump off the edge and explore all around there, there is no kill volume until the very, very bottom. It's pretty cool down there.

Big Bump!!!

1 ReplyThey are skeletons. The areas themselves are done beforehand so the DLC will be less strenuous on your devices. The missions are not done before the DLC drop The new game mechanics The new enemies The new strike They had these base skeletons of areas done to help you. If you wanted story and missions on those places it would have taken much longer for Destiny to be released. Please bump so others can see.

3 RepliesWho frankly gives a shit?

It's been this way since the Beta. They've already said a little on it, but I doubt you'll get an explanation.

Please use satire tag on satire posts. Very misleading.

If anyone here thinks that how is going to be any different from tdb i feel sorry for you

You do know that the so called "locked area" or what some idiots call "cut content" was all put in the game ahead of time(unfinished) so they can work on it later, right? When you glitch into those areas, all you are seeing is the basic outline(skeleton) of what is to come next. It is not %100 complete and they put there so it would be easier to work on other content until then. All they did was create time to work on other things so that they don't have to work a million things at once.

How can people still be this naive?
You're right. Let me help you: Pretend you're in charge of developing this game. You have several teams. Some work on sound, some on AI, some on the loot system etc. let's say one of your teams - the level design one - finishes up months early. What would you have them do next? Sit by their computers watching YouTube all day while you pay them, or start working on the DLC? Now that you're a little less naive, how do you feel?
-
Bump!
-
1 ReplySooo future zones are unchanged? Aren't they already loaded to the disk as cut content? So aren't there like a lot of bad guys and objectives you can complete out there? No? So after a downloaded patch( see dlc- downloadable content) it will be filled in? I don't need answers. And they won't tell you shit lol

14 RepliesYou complain that Bungie has not updated the House of Wolves areas. WHY the hell would they update HoW stuff in with the Dark Below dlc, that makes 0 sense. The Traitor's Ketch, Dusk Warrens, and Kings Reach will be updated with the House of Wolves dlc, till then they will remain what they are. Also in HoW the Reef will be opened up so there will be more there that we cannot see now. As for the story the Black Garden was not the end of the story. What is missing is the characters' personalities most everyone is two-dimensional.

100% Bump

Destiny released with no competition. If it had any good same day launch, I think they would have released everything on day one. But that is opinion. And look back to the timeline when they gutted this game. After GTA announces it's release date and then the head writer leaves? A lot of things do not add up. We are but the sheep. They treat us as mushrooms, keep us in the dark and feed us shit. And we should be happy that they do it to us!

100% agree, i feel as though i am being sold parts of what was intended to be original content. There is no way this incomplete and incoherent plot was all the content originally designed to be in the game. I am a halo veteran and this is not the company that came up with that masterpiece
-
1 ReplyNah you'll start in some familiar parts, but you'll get new content as you branch out. They stressed that with the TDB release... Fans want new content and they heard. I think HOW will unlock previously unlicensed areas but also maybe throw in a few new sections/areas.
-
1 ReplyI agree with you. The only thing I want though is SOME kind of REAL response from Deej or any of the developers. I don't even care if they lie, at least they'd have the courage and decency to acknowledge the fact that a large portion of their paying customers have questions instead of treating people only as the $60 in their pocket. I have the DLC pass so I'm already in for HoW but I'll never pre-order or buy another Activision or Bungie product again unless thoroughly reviewed to actually be worth my money and time.
-
2 RepliesYou cant assume that even though the areas are playable everything is done. Thats what i choose to believe anyways
-
You want answers from PR? Get real. They'll give you more bullshit than a politician.
