Will getting married cut back on my playtime?
Hey guys, I'm set to get married in October. Just wondering how it will impact my current playtime and if any of you will still be willing to group with me. Thanks.

We had lived together for about 6 years before getting married so she was well adjusted to my life style, as was I, and I wanted to make sure that was not going to change. I covered the basics, I expect you to do laundry, cook, clean, adult favors etc... I am also expected to do lawn work, maintain the vehicles, maintain our home, snow removal, adult favors :) etc... I am always sure to spend a couple hours a night with the wife, mostly when we are eating the meal she cooked and watching a TV show we share interest in. With all that said we have still had situations where she had become frustrated with the amount of time I game, usually its after a full weekend of gaming and I immediately come home from work and fire it up. I kindly remind her that I promised to her that I would not change, she tells me I did change, I game more now than ever (probably true with Destiny though). Honestly though if you are concerned that things will change (maybe you have seen signs that things may change), you should discuss it and depending on how she feels about it (and how important she is to you compared to games) than perhaps it will change, or perhaps not. With all that being said, kids is a different topic, and that has already been discussed, I will be expected to change my gaming habits when kids come, but I am willing to do so.

If you have to worry about losing play time because you are marrying the love of your life you should contemplate on your video game addiction. Lol

It makes it easier, what's wrong with you guys? Girlfriends will/can leave over anything easier and not look back. Once you're married and 6 figure purchases happen together it takes something more significant for them to get upset enough to go thru the hassle of leaving you. Game like a champion.

Depends on your partner. My wife says I played games long before I knew her so she's totally cool with it. But my wife isn't your typical woman.

Ask your wife, don't ask us. I play 4-5 nights a week, and keep Mrs. Wolfish happy in her marriage to me.
