anyone else sick of being a clone? (MUST READ)
I'm sure you guys have noticed by now that any high level guardians all basically look the same. I remember Bungie saying how when you are at the tower there will be no one that looks like you. It's the complete opposite everyone looks the same and it's because of this light system. I wouldn't mind the light system if it didn't limit customization. It forces you to wear gear with the most light if you wanna participate in high level content. Who thought that a system that limits customization significantly in a game that's all about customization was a good idea? I for one am sick of being a clone. Here is the solution...
TRANSMOGS!
World of Warcraft has a similar system to Destiny's light system, but the reason it works is because of Transmogs. Transmogs allows the player to choose the appearance of any piece of gear, but keep the stats of their high level gear. For example in Destiny if you want the appearance of the Helm of Inmost, but want to use Ruin Wings you can't because you can only have one exotic... if Destiny had Transmogs you could change the appearance of lets say your raid helmet to look like the helm of inmost life, but keep the stats of that raid helmet and still use Ruin Wings. The same could be done with lets say exotics if you want the stats of Don't Touch Me, but want them to look different you could change their appearance to the hunter raid gloves, but keep the stats of Don't Touch Me. This system will add so much diversity and will give us so many options to make us all unique. Not to mention we could create some badass outfits.
[b]How Transmogs would work in Destiny:[/b]
Go to The Speaker and any piece of armor you have equipped will show up in his inventory (similar to Xur's exotic upgrade system). You then select the piece of gear you want to change the appearance of and then it will take you into your inventory and you can navigate it and select another piece of gear to change the appearance of the piece of gear you have equipped and selected. Each time you change the appearance of an item it will cost you 10 Motes of Light and it will sacrifice the piece of gear you selected to change the appearance of.

This is why I run full iron banner gear with dead orbit shader. You can be different t. You just need to work for it.

I can be a 32 anytime I want, but I choose not to. Of course I do for the raid, but any other activity I go with this: Facade of the Hezen Lords Deathsingers Grips Voidfang Vestments Treads of the Hezen Lords This loadout keeps me at 31, has perks I like, and I think it looks cool. I suggest others try making their own sets too, despite being a lower level. As long as you're not doing Crota End, level 30 is just fine. That said, some sort of transmog or vanity system would be nice.

I've dropped myself down a level and now I feel epic. I have all CE raid armour (except for Willbreaker's Watch) but it does not compare.

I am in on this, specially when f***ing glasshouse has THE ugliest green ever plus the fact that there are no shaders matching the green of it.
