Give Iron Banner a break, Bungie.
If you didn't know, Iron Banner is coming back per Bungie's most recent weekly update.
Come on, Bungie. The novelty of it wore off the second time you ran it, and you haven't given any love to PvE events.
New events pls.
Edit: Woo trending page! Thanks for the feedback everyone. Now to clarify, I did not mean IB should permanently go away or PvP shouldn't be getting any events. I meant we've had IB way too many times with no PvE event counterpart. Keep the discussion going civilly everyone!
Edit #2: It seems the majority definitely agrees we've had too much IB. Also, the raids/nightfalls/weeklies are not events. They are permanent, fundamental fixtures of the game. An event is a free, limited time activity. Give us some balance between the types, Bungie!

2 RepliesWhat about the hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) of new players added around Christmas that never have played IB before? They should get a chance to play it and upgrade the same way many of you have. We all think that it could use some more twists and content, but remember the pay to play mentality of Bungie means we probably won't see that until the next DLC.

I like IB but I agree we need a massive public event to match it. Spawn a strike boss into a public area or something.

Ironic, everybody hates Iron Banner, but I have seen more exotics drops there, then in the regular crucible games. Been playing since early November.

The second one came around and offered cool stuff, like gear to help one to 30 (a blessing for my hunter and titan) and the opportunity to reroll the guns you got. I played that thing to death. The third one came and I did not touch it once. Gear that only offered max 31 light level, weapons I didn't care to grind for. Maybe the fourth banner will give me something to grind hard for, but I do not hold my breath.

2 RepliesI agree. Myself and my clan was buzzing when the first one came. We would play hours on end to rank up. Once the second one came out we couldnt give two sh. Its . Will probs be the same with the third.

5 RepliesMy feeling is they keep running it because their PVP numbers are below expectations. With people playing PVE more, a PVE event would lead to an even greater disparity. Not saying I agree though. I would much rather have a PVE event.

I know Iron Banner has been overused, but a while back in the weekly update, DeeJ said Queen's Wrath needed a lot of work.

I agree and disagree, yes we need more events besides Iron Banner, but Iron Banner is good too and I like that it's coming back again so soon, I for one expect to play it (I just hope he has some good weapons for sale, bought Silimar's Wrath the last time and I've been quite pleased with it).

I don't think the pvp team does much pve content so it would really only mean a vacation for some of the staff. That said I think it would be cool to get another pvp event, though they are probably working on something
