Any Week One Players who didn't do the Loot Cave?
I missed out on it. I knew it existed, but I never bothered to find out where. Did anyone else experience this?

1 ReplyI never did it, I passed by people at it but never stopped to participate. It sounded so boring and stupid. I woke the Hive a lot though.

I -blam!- The cave so hard.

I spent a few minutes there (maybe close to an hour tbh), and it was good for getting my my initial weapon parts and sapphire wire, but it was pretty worthless otherwise.

I didn't bother with it either. I think I was too busy doing strikes trying to rank up. I was in the low to mid 20's around the time

3 RepliesI was guilty of doing it, and leveled up a few times doing it. Never had a legendary engram but it did give me a welcome boost for the few rare engrams that I got once the Cryptarch got his hands on them. Having said that, I'm glad it was removed as it prompted me to actually "play the game"! New players have no idea just how much easier the loot system is now!

I didn't bother. I was having to much fun doing the missions with my son. Sitting & shooting at a cave for hours on end is like watching paint dry.

I didn't use the loot cave. I think people who spent hours sitting there are idiots.

The loot cave showed me lots of love. Got about 3 to 4 legendarys a day for a good week. Got my suros week one. Great gear and weapons. Some people just had bad luck with rng

I loved me some loot cave. Super fast leveling up as well.

I hit it hard the night before they patched it. That was about the only time I used it though.

Loved it. Got tons of legendary & rare engrams. But back then only 30-40% of those purples actually turned into purple items.

I never got any legendaries from it, but it was nice to farm weapon parts and plasteel. Never knew how rare it should be until I made a new char

I did it once with my friends and thought it was one of the most retarded thing ever.. NOTHING good drops
