Dragon's Breath isn't bad.....you are.
I think it's hilarious everyone who says dragons breath is bad.
It doesn't have tracking.
The solar grenade left doesn't last long enough.
It is too slow of velocity.
IT ISN'T BAD, YOU JUST DON'T HAVE SKILL. Any decent player could play with any set of maxed weapons and still be efficient.
Here's what Dragons Breath does have:
It does hold three shells in one clip.
It does have a bigger blast radius than any rocket launcher.
And it holds the most the rockets.
So you take your tracking, Wolfpack rounds, and 2 rockets per clip. I'll take 3 rockets per clip, an additional rocket in ammo capacity, a solar grenade, and a bigger blast radius any day.
"Burn the world, burn it all."
Edit 1: For those of you who continue to say gjallarhorn is better than dragons breath, obviously misunderstood my post or clearly just didn't read it. It wasn't to say which was better because every gun serves a purpose. ( maybe even No Land Beyond some day) This was just to state that the launcher itself, in my opinion, is not bad. I NEVER SAID IT WAS BETTER, just that it isn't a bad launcher.

1 ReplyThis is why I didn't want Noobs to get Dragon's Breath from Xur. They're gonna try and argue how Dragon's Breath is great. It's good, not great. You don't need three shells in a launcher. Tracking is the best perk for a launcher. I've had DB maxed since the first week of the DLC, and.........Gjallahorn makes Dragon's Breath more like puppie's breath.

I got the dragon's breath the first nightfall after the dlc and was pumped. This was literally featured in the dark below trailer so I thought I was getting the best rocket launcher in the game. So I started leveling it up and had it maxxed in a few days. So I jump in to crotas end and our leader seeing I have this bad ass new rpg puts me on the "rocket" team. So we get started kill adds kill boomers kill the gate keeper and I pull out my amazing rpg (which I figure is a tdb weapon so ot should be good for TBD raid) and shoot 2 rockets at crota!! Aaand he takes a step to the left both rockets miss hit the wall behind him and now I have twin suns mocking me showing me what could have been. Now yes it is a great rpg against certain bosses in certain situations, I ran 25 roc playlist strikes with the dB and ruin wings equipped to really test it out and had some situations it did well in I cornered valuus taarac with 3 suns, sepkis prime right after he teleported, the fallen tank, if you launch rockets while teammates hit the archon priest with critical snipers it does great damage until he recovers and teleported away, and against Omnigul with solar burn it did good as well. But that's not how I want to describe my exotic as "situational" why pull my thorn last word vex red death hardlight bad juju patience and time or pocket infinity out of my loadout for a situational rpg

Why you ppl keep comparing DB with Ghorn? They are different types of rocket launchers. One is better for crowd control with 5sec damage presence on each round, the other one is better for single target bursts with tracking capabilities. Just use each wherever needed..

Holding three just means that every time you go to orbit/die/etc. You lose rockets. You can't even switch armor to avoid this. Truth holds 3 and doesn't have this problem. 2. Blast radius is tied with truth's although the truth probably won't miss in PvE so it is less of a plus for the truth than it is for the DB. 3. I'll give you this one. It is an advantage. I just want to reiterate that I don't think DB is bad. I just don't think it's good enough to justify the exotic slot over Ghorn especiall . Source: Experience and having all 3 exotic rocket launchers maxed

I like dragons breath simply because of the the name, but any and all weapons are only useful if they suit you. Whatever your reasons for backing them.

But horn does way more damage so I'll take one less rocket.

Biggest blast radius, proximity detonation, 3 rockets in the tube and insane tracking that guarantees your target will not escape. There is nothing that Dragon's Breath does that Gjallarhorn and Truth don't already do better.

It's easy to miss targets without tracking for rocket launchers especially if your target actually swing around so much like Omnigul (coughs). Learn how to aim, and the solar grenade is unique for DB. And able to hold 3 shells. It's a RL that I actually use and IS upgrading it. :)

Dragons breath isn't bad, but if you have the g-horn is it worth taking its place? I don't think so. Keep using you dragons breath and crying because you don't have the g-horn.

2 RepliesQuick question, I saw a Titan generate orbs with Dragon's Breath kills yesterday. So rocket to mob of adds was like 3-4 orbs, they were all shown separately ("generated 1 orb" message 3-4 times). Did not see such perk on any of his gear. How can you do this?

1.Truth also has 3 Rockets 2.Truth tracks 3.Raid boots let you hold more heavy ammo so having 7 total rocket shells isn't that special 4.Gjallarhorn master race
