I think it's hilarious everyone who says dragons breath is bad.
It doesn't have tracking.
The solar grenade left doesn't last long enough.
It is too slow of velocity.
IT ISN'T BAD, YOU JUST DON'T HAVE SKILL. Any decent player could play with any set of maxed weapons and still be efficient.
Here's what Dragons Breath does have:
It does hold three shells in one clip.
It does have a bigger blast radius than any rocket launcher.
And it holds the most the rockets.
So you take your tracking, Wolfpack rounds, and 2 rockets per clip. I'll take 3 rockets per clip, an additional rocket in ammo capacity, a solar grenade, and a bigger blast radius any day.
"Burn the world, burn it all."
Edit 1: For those of you who continue to say gjallarhorn is better than dragons breath, obviously misunderstood my post or clearly just didn't read it. It wasn't to say which was better because every gun serves a purpose. ( maybe even No Land Beyond some day) This was just to state that the launcher itself, in my opinion, is not bad. I NEVER SAID IT WAS BETTER, just that it isn't a bad launcher.

Edited by DaChiefMizzy86: 1/4/2015 2:34:49 PMLoving the dragon's breath, especially it's smoke effect as your just sitting there. (please tell me others noticed this) overall I am not lucky enough to have the ghallahorn, or have ever gotten an exotic drop and it's funny how I can only get invited to a raid if I have a ghally being a decent player. Overall it makes some of us feel left out, and drives us away from the raids.
-
People just rely on tracking, that's why they will always love gallarhorn. It does work in the raid, and I have fun using it.
-
Truth holds the same number of rockets, has tracking, proximity explosions and it has the same blast radius. However dB is good for zone control and protecting your flank.
-
Dragons breath is just a collectors item. I didn't even want to buy it. Does it hit harder than Gally and it's wolfpack rounds? No? I don't want it.
-
Lets say u carry 8 rockets gjallahorn 6. Gjallahorn Deals guaranteed dmg for 12 rockets, u?

2 RepliesEdited by x-FiftyThree-x: 1/4/2015 2:20:44 PMYou're right. That's why LFG is full of requests saying "LF1M @ Crota CP - MUST HAVE DRAGONS BREATH"
-
There's a difference between bad and not as good as ghorn.
-
Ha no this is sadZ
-
Its not that bad for lamps in the new raid because when thralls walk into s ok lar grenade they just due but it just doeant compete with truth or gjally
-
Lol clip Lol ignorance is bliss
-
1 ReplyLook i dont think its bad but if u have will of crota or even hezen vengance its kinda pointless it just takes up an exotic slot
-
It is bad. While yes, of course you can still kill things with it. A lot of legendary rocket launchers do more damage, tracking or not. So yes. By comparison, dragon breath is bad.
-
2 RepliesNo tracking is not a problem for me, especially when Dragon's Breath has a large blast radius. Just aim the rocket launcher at the enemies feet.
-
It also first hits harder than any rocket launcher
-
All the weapons have thier use. Like a toolbox, you carry what u might need.
-
Well said dragons breath in the right hands is deadly and a life saver especially in the crotas end raid
-
I will admit I can't shoot rockets to save my life. That's why I prefer using tracking or just sticking to my lmg

9 RepliesEdited by AjUnity: 1/4/2015 2:01:25 PMGjallarhorn>dragons breath, simple, I would rather enemies not run away from my rockets every time I shoot and do twice as much damage without the fear of missing....

I see mixed opinions on damage. Would the grenade be able to stop templar from moving? Like a bubble would?
-
Fully Agree!!! I just maxed it out and loving the destruction on some of the Strike bosses.
