Although the other 2 commenter are right, I can't understand why they were dicks about it. But yeah the mic that comes with xb1 or ps4 works just fine for chat. It's all u really need. If your on an older gen system pick up a cheap one from gamestop or walmart. You don't need anything fancy, but you absolutely cannot raid without being able to communicate easily, unless you've already done it a bunch and consider yourself an expert. Sending messages doesn't cut it.
