I think it would be pretty sweet if different helms had different variations of HUDs or even add a hue/tint color. Not overdoing it of course. Anyone else? Just created this thread to see if anyone else likes the idea.
Edit 1: Seeing a couple of likes. Really? Nobody else thinks this would be a good idea? It would be cool if the HUD conformed to the design of the Exotic Helm or Legendary Helm.
Edit 2: Thinking vision modes too like NVGS or Thermals. Nothing too COD like. Hell, Bungie can develop unique vision modes for these helms.
Edit 3: So far everyone's supportive of the idea. Thanks in advance for the likes. Maybe DeeJ will one day stumble on this posting and consider it. It's Trending.
BUMP!
Edit 4: I think it's safe to say we're all in favor of this. Lol.
Edit 5: YES to Toggle On/Off. Your preference. Oh, and not just limit it to one style of HUD but multiple ones in accordance with the design of the Helm. Should cover the picky kids.
Lol. I made this post last week. Still getting bumps and likes. Awesome. Thanks to all.

Edited by JuanPablo: 1/5/2015 1:43:22 PMJust throwing this out there... It would be cool if when you ADS at or Shot an enemy that they would be 'tagged' so that you could see them behind cover (thinking the annoying Major/Ultra Nights on the far side of the room during the Will of Crota Strike specifically) I imagine this working sort of like when you're killed by an enemy, they are outlined in red so you can see which one killed you. Would be a pretty cool perk for an exotic helmet maybe? Like the principle though, +1 from me

Would be awesome and would make it feel more unique....buuuut bungie would need to put some work in it...and lazy and greedy as they are it will never happen or its gonna be a DLC...
-
I love this idea, including the ability to turn it on or off. We already have custom ADS for exotic guns, why not some HUD customization? Would be really sweet!

3 RepliesEdited by sky: 1/5/2015 12:00:06 AMDefinitely. I picked up the ATS/8 Arachnid (note: Advanced Tactical Sensorium) and was disappointed - though not surpised - it didn't bolster my realtime combat information feed. I think it would be interesting also if smart guns could interface with helmets to provide extra information (ie. MIDA Multi-tool, Super Good Advice). I know this would never make it into the game, as it really isn't part of Destiny's game mechanics but I can always dream...

Maybe a switchable extra vision mode only available on exotic helms like a low-light vision, thermal, x-ray(through walls and other types of cover), maybe even enemy specific sensing modes. A vision mode to see where the next vex spawn cloud will pop up.

Really like the idea of this! good thinking!

Great idea

That requires Bungie to put work into the game.

Very cool idea.

Bump !!! \\m//,,!!!!

Such a good idea. Bump.

Bumped, great idea for more customization within Destiny and make each guardian personalized. If you get a chance take a look at a suggestion that's come up for legendary upgrade pathways post 300. Any input and support would be much appreciated. #Fatebringer331

I love it that Blizzard is apart of this game! IF they really implement trading within guardians in the tower, change the color scheme of items as you are explaining would just be awesome. Things we need: more variations, as in skills, defense, color, rarity etc.. these things can make certain items much better than others. I just hope this game becomes the next gen Diablo 2 expansion!!!!!!!!

Bump, cool idea.

This is an awesome idea! Wow! I love the idea of unique HUDs!

1 Replythey couldnt deliver us a cohesive story, and you want to overcomplicate this game with the addition of new UI's? come on man, they don't work that hard, clearly.

2 RepliesIt's an interstijgbidea, but if someone disliked a particular hud but wanted the exotic effect it would be inconvenient
