Congratulations, Flood.
A vast majority of you proved how absolutely disgusting man can be, over the stupidest and most indirect shit. If a person is happy doing what they do (and it doesn't affect anyone negatively) [i]who the -blam!-[/i] are we to slam down the hammer of disapproval and hate? Grow up, people are different, and people are dying over factors that shouldn't even exist.

He (yes I will be referring to him as a he since he was biologically a male) wanted to kill himself, however all you need is a support group, my best friend was bullied for being gay and wanted to kill himself, I recommend a support group for people who are in the same situation, a few sessions later, he was fine, in fact the happiest he has ever been, he learned that life does get better, when you learn to block out other peoples opinions, anyway back to the topic at hand, he was young and like most depressed young people, I feel like life doesn't get better so they take their own life's, but suicide effects some many people, it often causes more pain than the person who killed themselves, imagine how that driver feels, he has to live with the fact that he killed somebody, if this guy who killed themselves didn't indicate any nod to suicide he could be in prison for murder, suicide is a important matter in the world, but it comes down to learning that the world isn't a bad place, there will be people who understand you and people who don't, you have to leave the haters and only talk to people who love you for who you are

Biological sex may be black and white, but gender is a mental thing, and you there is a whole range of places on the spectrum you can lie... and for people that believe that they will never truly be happy as the gender they were assigned at birth, a gender transition via hormones and surgery can be [i]literally[/i] life saving as many of those people would otherwise commit suicide. The suicide rate in trans people is far higher than that of pretty much any other group in the first world, save maybe veterans. And for all of you saying that transgenderism isn't "normal," know that trans people have been around for millennia just like gays have. There are just as many now as there have always been. The difference is that now society is finally starting to be more accepting of them and so they're starting to come out of hiding. Trans people are where gays were ten or fifteen years ago. What happened to Leelah Alcorn is a -blam!-ing tragedy. She knew what she wanted to be with all her heart, but she knew that because of her family that she would never be able to be that. She may have committed suicide, but her parents murdered her. And after the fact, they're trying to play it off as though it was an accident, claiming "our [i]son[/i] (not even acknowledging her true self) was tragically hit by a truck today" or something of that manner. They will likely bury her in a suit with her male name on her grave. You would think that after driving their own child to suicide these parents would finally realize how shitty of parents they are, but they haven't. They still don't acknowledge their daughter for who she was, and if that doesn't sicken you... And don't even get me started on religion. People wonder why I'm so anti-religion, and there are [i]many[/i] reasons, but this is one of the major ones. Her parents' unwillingness to accept her as a female stemmed directly from their bigoted religious views. This is one of the many toxic tragedies of religion. This kind of mentality that "god doesn't make mistakes" and that you have to be what you were born as and can't be who you want to be is destructive and, as has just been proven, can drive people down so far that they resort to suicide. For those of you that disagree, let me ask you one question. [i]What's worse? Accepting your child for who they are, even if you vehemently disagree with it, or burying them because you couldn't?[/i] If you truly love your child you'll do whatever it takes to make them happy, even if you don't 100% agree with it. If you defend the parents in this situation, I'm sorry, but you're a shitty -blam!-ing person.
