2 RepliesBuy it. So many people despise it so much that it'll get an insanely good buff and everyone will be kicking themselves in the balls for sharding it. Especially when it's being used to wreck them in Crucible like the Vex was. (And then of course those same haters will b!tch about it being op and it'll get nerfed into oblivion)

It's awful. I'm not disappointed in the rate of fire, the sights or the long reload time. The inability to carry ammo is the biggest letdown. That said, it's a fun weapon to use when there are a bunch of new players in the area. I spent some time sitting on a roof overlooking Skywatch yesterday (I was one of the lucky few who could play). A bunch of level 5-8 players were in there trying to farm. They kept running up onto the roof to check out this oddity I was firing. That...or it may have been the flaming pumpkin I was wearing on my head. :)

It's a gimmick gun, so if yours okay with doing horribly with it to git gud with it and have fun then go for it.

7 RepliesThe issue with NLB is that its strictly favors pvp play... for pve its rather garbage but from the experience of the pvp users that use it the fully upgraded version is rather dirty after the initial kill because of The Master perk where damage is boosted briefly for the next target after a kill.. Which sounds meh but pretty much after baggin that initial kill you can hit someone in the pinky toe and you will drop them in pvp. This weapon is a master snipers treasure and very much so an aquired taste! Also the history behind is rather badass because nlb belonged to master soviet sniper Vasily Grigoryevich Zaytsev! Who between 10 November and 17 December 1942, during the Battle of Stalingrad, killed 225 soldiers and officers of the Wehrmacht and other Axis armies, including 11 enemy snipers.

1 ReplyAfter I skipped Gjallarhorn because [b]"Why would I waste my exotic slot on a heavy weapon?"[/b], I learned to never skip on a Xur weapon. I just vault them if I don't like them today. You never know what buffs could be in the pipeline and I doubt you'd want to miss out.

I bought it as its fun to shot dregs with it. Anything else oh yeah its sooo slow. After every shot there is a coop animation that just takes for ages. I hope the buff the weapon as soon as possible.

I'll be totally honest I like the gun, I feel like it's kinda fun to fool around with and I think it's smart to buy because it's Definetly gonna get a major buff soon after xur selling it and then everyone will be mad they didn't buy it

It's not very good. ..I needed one more damage upgrade but don't think it's worth the exotic shard.Its a shame because I got this gun in a crucible drop...so sad when I finally used it.

I got it for collection only, tried it out just so I would know for myself, and promptly threw it in my vault. I collect exotic weapons and had over 90 strange coins, so it was worth it for me. But if you want a useful exotic I wouldn't bother with it. It is bolt action which means an extremely low rate of fire. I can't vouch for its usefulness in PvP, but in pve I'd take a predlc legendary over it any day.
