Everyone ready for the House of Wolves gear reset?
Now that I have virtually all of my raid gear(with exception to helm) and am working on dumping shards into it, to get to 32, I'm highly anticipating that day, 2 months(or so) from now when we all get to ditch our awesome looking raid gear for vendor 33 gear. Woot!!! This game is fun and I love the gear, but the thought that it will all amount to nothing in two months is almost game breaking.

I don't like the CE gear it looks like the characters have some sort of skin disease The VoG armour was much better We seem to be going backwards on this game because the house of wolves armour and weapons look like low tech pieces of crap that will somehow be better than the other stuff we have

It's a horrible feeling. I wish they made old content somewhat relevant, useable or even gave some xp bonuses for having maxed old gear.

it seems you knew to mmo's: if you do a wow raid you will get the best loot in the game but, the next dlc will have quest items that will be 10x better, is just the way it is

8 RepliesI know the feels. I would be ok if they made it so the Tower merchants only sold you better gear once you reached 30. That would give a more fluent sence of progression. Then, when next DLC drops, you need to be level 32 before you can buy better gear.

Since Raid gear doesn't use Ascendant materials, you can just stock up on them. Icebreaker and Gjallorhorn are the only exotics you probably want to always be ready to upgrade anyway.

7 RepliesIt's not a gear reset. Nothing is being reset. It's like you're still going through any game with gear. You wear what you have and then BAM! You find something better. The DLC just keeps that going like nothing has changed.

The initial wow factor is wearing off, the raid is still fun, but I'm only doing it once a week. I do admit, when TDB launched, I thought I'd get one good scout rifle, upgrade my ice breaker, try to get a good DG-A and call it good with vendor gear. I didn't expect to get raid gear in the second week or a decent raid weapon either. That kinda made me more excited to keep playing. Well played Bungie, well played. But yeah, by February, I'll probably just stockpile bounties and get my reps close and quit playing until HoW. I finally put down Destiny long enough over the holidays to realize how awesome Dragon Age: Inquisition is. Saints Row 4 Re-Elected and Gat Out of Hell is going to eat a solid week of my (late January) game time too. I logged in last night to get my free raid chests, got shards and decided not to do any bounties. I was working on thorn and bad juju, but the rest of my guns are xp capped and I don't really use them much. If I find obsidian mind, that'll be another story.

2 RepliesI just hope they don't pull the same shit they did in TDB. All in all it felt like they had no idea what they were doing and just implemented changes without really looking at how these changes would affect eachother or current VS new players. The biggest problems: * The VG/Crucible commendations - Just incredibly stupid and a cheap way of forcing people to farm rep. * Making vendor gear better than current raid gear - Does not compute. * Totally resetting current exotics and introducing a V2 - Huh? They should have automatically upgraded all exotics and reset the last three upgrades (the power upgrades at the end of an exotic). Additionally: * They made the VoG gear obsolete so from an armor PoV there's no point in running it. To make things worse, the exotics in VoG are still V1. It's like they don't want anyone to ever run it again.
