Not only is this piece of shit -blam!-ing invincible, he is on a 60 second despawn timer. Gtfo, Bungie. Fix this bullshit.
Edit: To all you scrubs saying easy-peasy and you did it by yourself, I call bullshit.
Edit #2: Apparently there are 2 different versions of this asshole, a major and an ultra. I had heard that he was hard and killed him on my main during a Warsat event and thought: "That wasn't as bad as I was expecting." That must have been little brother. The other one, holy shit.
So for all you Billy Badasses who claim to have solo'ed him with the starting assault rifle, go back and try the big boy version and come back and tell me how easy it was by yourself. I'll wait...

I killed the one when the enemy forces move against each other. He was pretty easy to take down with an un leveled thunderlord. What makes it difficult is the 5 million other things shooting at you. But if you drag him away you can unload on him with relative safety.
-
i get what you mean he is bad ass, but no one can withstand the jellyhorn.
-
I was leveling up an alt once and I was doing one of the earth missions and I required me to go through where the original loot cave was. I got there and it looked like a war zone. The hive and fallen were in the middle of their "war" public event type of thing and urzok's ultra form was there as well along with several fallen and hive majors. Not fun trying to cross as a level 5 or 6 warlock.

1 ReplyOnce his shield is down, he's cake.

Easy-peasy. Sorry that you suck.

Urzok is Ez Pz

>arc fusion >shields go down >rocket >rocket <dead
-
solod at lvl 25, died like 4 times tho
-
I have two thorns. It wasn't that hard. Just takes time and then unload on him with everything you've got when he spawns.
-
It is possible to solo the ultra version but yes it is tough. I was a 30 and was using fatebringer plan C and later icebreaker and then hunger of Crota when I got his shield off. Easy to keep it down with fatebringer and a arc special.
-
Ive never seen less than 3 ppl over there around the time he spawns so idk how ppl solo him but once his shield is off its game over
-
That's why he is hated
-
Yeah well I was doing a defend the warsat event with some guys and he spawned. Funny thing was someone one shotted him with a fusion rifle when his shields were down and we were all standing there like "what fusion rifle is that because I want one!" lol
-
First time I encountered him was when I first started playing destiny I was around lvl 15 just trying to get bounties wrapped up I popped up here in my quest to kill 100 enemies with 0 deaths cause I read its a decent spot to grind I was at 99 kills due to this unexpected swarm of enemies and then he popped up right behind me as I was reloading......what happened next was very fast as he slashed all the light from my guardian with what seemed to be the wrath of the collected knights I had killed so far and then I was booted back to orbit I then stopped playing destiny That day
-
Done it solo and in a group you need a 330 secondary to take down his shield then a maxed out heavy to take him out preferably a fusion rifle and rocket launcher.
-
Edited by UnspokenNumber0: 1/6/2015 7:27:17 PMDid it solo, got my butt kicked the first time. Use arc weapons, I used a fusion and Thunderlord and he went down in seconds on my 2nd encounter.
-
I had a hard time too. I encountered him during the warsat event with a couple of random low levels. It was hard being swarmed by hive and fallen then this a$$hole chasing you everywhere. I died a couple times. I ended up getting lucky though one of the low levels lured him away from the mob. I was able to take down his shields while the low level kept his shield from coming back. It gave me time reload without worrying about his shields.

I soloed the ultra, the tactic i used was as follows. Using a lmg or rocket that can cause mass dps. I dont have gjalalalala so i used maxed hunger of crota. In my primary i used a maxed thorn, the DoT from Thorn allows him to not regen his shield, then i had murmur for my special, to take his shield down. So i would put a round of thorn into him, use the murmur to take down shield, switch back to thorn and put another round in, take his shield all the way down, put one more thorn into him then use 2 hunger rockets, then put another thorn round into him, reload hunger, then put another thorn in, and use 2 more hunger shots. And i repeated as follows, i dont think he has a 60 second despawn timer cause the fight with the ULTRA/Boss version lasted around 3 and a half minutes. I have a 32 hunter with the weapons ready immediately perk.
-
I soloed him, but I didn't use an auto rifle. I used my good ol THE SWARM vanguard machine gun, maxed out with arc damage. Just get a high level machine gun with arc damage and you will rip him up quite easily.
-
Honestly I teamed up with my friend to take him down. We both went striker and dropped in from low orbit with the mad dunks, then grenaded him with Lightnings. Murmur should definitely help out for that, too.

1 ReplyThis guy is an easy kill, unless for some bizarre reason you are trying to kill him after he spawns as part of the Fall/Hive war event in Cosmodrome near the old loot cave. During this event he is a beast, and despawns when the other Fallen/Hive despawn at the end of this event. You should hang around in that same area and wait for the Warsat public event for an easy kill.
-
1 ReplyDon't know if it can be any help but I soloed him 3 times for each of my character. Took me some tries but I kinda found a hint. You have to wait for the warsat public event version. Kill all the easy fallen to let the stronger ones left until the urzok's foes spawn. Kill the prestresses first. As you know fallen and hives aren't friends so when urzok spawn ... Take some distance from him for the stronger fallen to attack him. while the stronger fallen focus on urzok , use arc damage... the shield will fall easy cuz of the strong fallens attacking him also. then use heavy weapons or special to finish him. Worked for me.

Plan c shields down. Arc zombie apocalypse the rest.

3 RepliesEdited by N1GHT CR4WLER: 1/6/2015 5:28:11 PMAtheon's epilogue to take down his shield And about 5 rockets from a 1.0 Ghorn Took me about a good hour hanging about for him to spawn a couple of times Easiest way would be to wait till there's a few there and just get a shot on him
-
Arc fusion rifle, once his shield is down he is very weak
