If you don't buff the VoG, there is practically no reason to play it ever again.
Make the difficulty go to 31
Make VoG raid gear 33 light quality so it can take you to 31
Buff the VoG legendaries to keep them current with new legendary gear.
If not, no one will run the first raid anymore. The only thing that kinda makes a vault run still relevant is the exotic drops. I doubt many people will run the entire vault for a possible exotic drop in the chest and at atheon...
Just food for thought
Edit: only pre-dlc exotics drop in the vault. Now there is almost no reason to run the vault.
Maybe for novelty? If you haven't beaten it already..

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Makes it so the new raid is sill required for 32, but the old raid isn't completely overshadowed by simple vendors. The VoG is fun, keep it viable. And continue that pace for future DLC.
-
I agree wholeheartedly. The Vault of Glass is supposed to be something to stand the test of time, and the only way to do that is by having a buffed version. People won't want to play it anymore. I think all of the raids should be able to give viable gear to high level players, not a piece of equiptment that looks cool but is worthless, like the current VOG. But I suppose having only the most recent DLC give lvl 32 gear entices more players into buying DLC and getting the companies more money.

Does eris allow you to upgrade the vog legendaries to a higher attack? Or is that rumor
-
3 RepliesRan the vault last night, got anothet Ice Breaker but level capped at 300? No point what so ever to run if the new drops don't apply
-
They definitely need to upgrade the exotics that are dropped at the very least... I got another Hawkmoon that was still 1.0 yesterday, dismantled =/
-
The VOG weapons and gears should be getting a boost soon probably thought eris Also I still run it for the elemental primaries and possible chance of getting more exotic shards
-
5 RepliesPlay it to get the weapons...the 'oracle disruptor' and/or firefly perk helps a lot in Crotas end
-
Agreed
-
5 RepliesThe VoG should at least drop at the new level. Finally got Hezen Vengeance yesterday and its still at 300. Super disappointing. They updated Vex but left the rest alone... sucks.
-
5 RepliesShards and energies and the chance for an exotic plus I still need mythoclast and fatebringer, Atheons epilogue would be great for nightfalls and weeklys. It takes my group less Time to the vog of glass than this weeks nightfall. And I'd rather have the exotic and be waiting to upgrade to the new version than not have it at all
-
Agreed. Only reason to run it would be to get gear to dismantle for shards and energy. Even then, since the new raid gear requires radiant mats, there is basically no point.

You mad bro?

1 ReplyJust ran the Hard Mode VoG last night with my Level 31 Hunter...it was a blast. Let's say you have three DIFFERENT characters, and want them each to hit 31 to make life a little easier while you grind the new raid for Level 32 gear. You would want 4 pieces of Faction Gear per character (so that you can still swap around Exotic items after you upgrade them) ...that's 72 Ascendant Shards per Guardian, times 3 Guardians, which equals 288 necessary shards. Even assuming you have a small or large pile saved, you will still need SOME additional Shards...This is my reason for still running VoG post DLC.

heroic 30 and heroic 32, add a second tier of gear to be on par with Crotas end.
-
I agree. It was such a fun raid too :( Would totally go all out for a 331atk Fatebringer and VoC. The chest piece is better too since it helps all specials.

4 RepliesOld WoW Raids called. They said to let you know this design is not foreign or unheard of. Also, that your pointless self-entitlement doesn't belong in any video game. This isn't an mmo. It's a shared world with MMO/RPG aspects. With that said, get over it. We plan on running VoG hm plenty for a chance at, you guessed it, exotics, the vex and timebreaker. There you go. A reason to still do VoG.

8 RepliesLet the vault go dude.
-
2 RepliesWhile I also would like to see it buffed, I'll probably still run it, just not as often. Partly for shards, but partly for the fun of feeling like a beast running through there at a higher level. How does that not sound like fun??!!
-
4 RepliesI agree with the armor buffing. But I don't agree with the weapons. I suppose if the VoG weapons were equal to the mytho then that would make sense. Definitely not the same as the Crota weapons at 331.
-
5 RepliesWhy you will run VoG as it is: Collect shards and energy. Some people will hit 31 via vendor legendaries while gri ding out more raid gear and making it easier. To level that gear you need shards. To get shards you need to do VoG (not the only way but most effective)
-
6 RepliesNo! HM is already hard as -blam!-
-
I agree with this a lot. also how sick would it be to have a 28 heroic strike playlist w/better drops
-
2 RepliesYou needs shards and energies still for new armor and weapons.
-
2 RepliesAlthough I agree with you I'll still run vog to get the primary weapons with elemental damage. I think those will hold their own especially for nightfalls. Otherwise agreed.
-
Agreed, ran it last night and for the first time in weeks I received raid arms. My excitement vanished when I saw they were obsolete...
