No, it's actually not even remotely close to it. I'm neither, but do you know how many schools and stores gets in trouble for just catering to Christmas? It's "happy holidays" instead of "merry Christmas" for a reason there. Last thing the community needs is for bungie to get into a an argument with a couple extra-butthurt people that don't celebrate Christmas. This will mean the Thorn won't get nerfed.
lol @ last part
• People will always be butt-hurt though. There are a plethora of player who have been just RAGING over having to do PVP in order to even obtain Thorn now that it has received a buff. That is why I thought of the analogy. I disagree that the happy holidays / merry Christmas thing is actually anything more than a manufactured controversy. The idea of offense and a "War on Christmas" generates clicks and gets people to tune into the 24 hour news channels more often than they normally would, but actual instances are few and far between. In fact the general trend lately has been more religious liberty. I say celebrate the differences, don't whitewash people's culture. If the user base wants a Christmas tree, then I can't imagine why Bungie wouldn't make their user base happy.

 • >implies with "white-wash" that not having Christmas would be a white thing >also implies bungie would do something the community would appreciate
lel
