The Hunter, Warlock and Titan are the 3 main classes, but would Gamers like to see 1 or 2 more classes by Games release or through DLC?

I hope the vanguard makes it(also a rumored faction) but this has not yet been confirmed

I think 3 classes are just fine, even if Bungie ever releases expansion or DLC still 3 classes are just fine with me :P or they will add more with expansions so dont worry :)
-
I don't think it's that big a stretch to assume that will add more classes later on.
-
I honestly don't see the point in adding more classes. The ones we already have are good enough for me. And from what I've seen on the forums most would agree.
-
Three Classes are okay with me, I mean it's not like we don't have them at all.
-
Also theres 3 races so i think the clases will look a littel different for each race, and theres male and female Im no genius but technically thers more than 3 clases.

1 ReplyNo need for new classes but you can have specializations for each. Like the hunter could later on become a saboteur etc.
-
1 ReplyThe three classes we have cover the three character archetypes nicely. There isn't a need for any more classes.
-
-
3 is fine for now.
-
2 Repliesnope, the 3 classes are nice and balanced. What more could you add?
-
1 ReplyYes, one more would do it for this installment. If there are only 3 for the final build of the first chapter, I'm fine with that too.
-
17 RepliesI dont want people who buy dlc to have more of advantage over me

1 ReplyI'm in the group that thinks no additional classes should be added but new items/abilities should be added that allows you to change your character into additional sub classes. For example a healing skill could be added that turns your DPS into Heals per second (I.e you shoot your friends to heal them). Another skill could be added that instead of healin your friends when you shoot them it creates a shield around them that has a duration equivalent to your dps (I.e. if you keep sniper headshotting your friends the shield would last for several seconds). With the addition of just these two skills you could take a warlock and divide it into a DPS, heals, or protection sub class. Throw in some epic/legendary items will skill trees designed to support those skills and you're set. I could also see these skills being used in interesting ways in competitive PvP. I.e. if your protecting the flag runner you'd have to decide if you want to attack his followers or keep shooting him to keep his health/shields up... You wouldn't be able to do both during the duration of the spell.

Save it for Destiny 2, 3, and 4. They shouldn't play all their cards at once.
-
Adding classes as DLC down the road can ONLY work if they are released in sets (i.e. three at a time.) By the time the next chapter is released most everyone will have played through all three classes, and be ready for a new set. Three classes is plenty, at least for the first installment.

4 RepliesWhat are you thinking of for new classes because if you are thinking of a healer why not give a warlock this ability fits the classes magical description
-
Not til atleast the second game. Maybe new races will come to help us.

I think if we do get more classes it'll more than likely come with the sequels. Also I think they'd simply be hybrid classes of the original 3. Maybe if there's wildlife we'll get a pet class down the road...? Who knows. But I do think more classes will eventually be coming, for some reason I don't see them trying to make a game last a decade and not consider it.

Edited by steampunksniper: 7/8/2013 8:51:10 PMi like this holy trinity the basher (titan) father the sun (warlock) son and the lonely spit fire (hunter) holy spirit

Edited by PopSkimo: 7/8/2013 6:43:59 PMI don't think we need more classes in Destiny. The three we have now serve their purposes well and depending on how classes will work, they might have subtypes to those classes.
-
1 ReplyI think they should have seven classes ;)
-
6 RepliesYes I want an assassin class
-
6 RepliesThe three classes we have are sufficient to cover the major archetypes that one would expect in a scifantasy universe. Adding more only adds complexity to the game, and it definitely isn't the sort of thing you would have as DLC, as each class has their own unique armor style and set. so effectively you'd have to make a third of the original game's armor every time you add one. Doesn't sound worth it.

I would be fine with having more classes in Destiny. Adds more fun to it in my opinion. Adds diversity too.
